It seems that for any fundamental change to happen in Europe we will need a serious war where the existing governments are soundly defeated and the people responsible for this whole mess are treated as traitors and completely removed from positions of power.

I do wonder if a Trump presidency along with different nationalist parties winning could avoid the need for this, but I am doubtful.

Would be a shame to see Europe ravaged by war once again when they have all the capability to peacefully deal with this problem, but the people responsible are likely too entrenched to walk away without a fight.
