Women Have Weaponized Gossip via Social Media
There's a new trend on social media. Semi-famous women are accusing men of sexual harassment or sexual assault. It was inevitable really because it involves two large motivations for women. The first is the thirst for attention, and the second is rewriting their sexual history in a more favorable light.

Here's the most recent example:

http://www.vulture.com/2016/01/musicians...sment.html

Quote:Last night on Twitter, Amber Coffman of the band Dirty Projectors recounted a story about a prominent music publicist whom she says sexually harassed her years ago. She named Heathcliff Berru — publicist at Life or Death PR and Management, which represents Odd Future, D’Angelo, DIIV, Killer Mike, Of Montreal, Speedy Ortiz, Cloud Nothings, and more — as the person in question who "rubbed my ass and bit my hair at a bar a couple years ago." Coffman says she was inspired to go public with her story on Twitter last night after looking Berru up and finding not only that he is still working at Life or Death, but that he now represents some of her friends in the industry. "I've been told many women have had scary stories about him for years but are scared to speak up. And dudes overlook it and keep hiring him," she writes. "Tired of sketchy ass dudes and sexual predators getting a pass from their 'bros.' Grow a spine and hold your friends accountable."

She decided to ruin a man's reputation and livelihood because in the distant past, he grazed her ass at a bar, plus she's heard some gossip about him. That's all it took for her to air out her grievances on social media. And once Coffman drew first blood, other women joined in the feeding frenzy.

Quote:Other women have since come forward in response to Coffman's tweets, backing up her allegations with traumatic personal experiences of their own. In her own series of tweets, Bethany Cosentino of the band Best Coast calls Berru a "scumbag" whom she was "too freaked out to ever say anything" about. "Seriously he's not a good person on any level," Cosentino writes.

This one stood out as the most far-fetched:

Quote:Beth Martinez, music publicist at Danger Village PR, has also tweeted her account of Berru's behavior. Martinez says that Berru "repeatedly put his hand down my shirt while driving me home after I told him to stop many times," and asked her not to tell their mutual friend about the alleged assault. She claims she is "fairly certain I've been roofied by him or members of his crew on more than one occasion." She continues: "I was really afraid that if I told anyone or did anything, it would hurt my career."

As an afterthought, she tossed off a tweet that "I was an active alcoholic at the time so was an easy target and living in Shame kept me silent."

This is a stunning admission. She ignores the great probability that she blacked out, and instead says he 'roofied' her. Really, any of the allegations contained in these tweets would wilt under further examination. How many of these women who took to Twitter willingly participated and encouraged the behavior they now decry as harassment? But that's not the point.

Pointing out inconsistencies in their misleading narratives is blaming the victim. And the entertainment industry cannot afford to antagonize SJW's, who have enough energy to lead boycotts against artists and companies who don't kowtow deeply enough.

And now the man they ganged up on is out of a job, because of some tweets. The facts don't matter. A company only notices that there's a wave of similar-sounding allegations, and the man drowns under it.

The man's colleagues must think that they've made themselves safer by offering up a sacrificial victim. But if the wind blows in a different direction, the women they've dealt with will feel differently about their past interactions, and suddenly they become the next target. Bow to the mob's demands once, and they'll aim higher next time.

Expect more of this to sweep through the entertainment industry. It's already hit the comedy scene. And porn.

The standard of game demanded of men just keep rising. Regret is not allowed in any woman a man has slept with (because without consent, it's rape), and now any women that a man flirts with cannot feel uncomfortable for a single second, even retroactively (because that's harassment).

It's time defamation law was reformed in the area of social media. Women have restraining orders and the ability to demand an order more or less instantly from a judge; there needs to be a similar device for men who are attacked on social media with this sort of assault.

Some of the girls I banged long ago turned feminist later on. I wouldn't put this beyond a few of them. I've seen facebook viral weaponized gossip close to me, and it's incredible how many of the people I know white knight and how many women air it out online.

That said, I'm not famous. If I ever become so, I'll have to inculcate anti-fragility into my strategy in case of such a situation. Or, maybe the election this year will start to change the environment that results in this nonsense.

Best to follow Roosh's advice and Don't Bang Feminists. If they're prone to short hair, wild hair colors, or have a lot of red/blue haired dyke friends, stay far away.

Agree with above. There's two girls who are friends and really do not like me and have spread a bunch of lies around about me in my hometown. They are crazy. Always have drama with someone over something. Most people who know me know the truth, but not everyone knows me. If it was guys doing this I'd go drive my boot up their ass, but with girls not a lot I can do. For now at least. I fully intend to lay and wait and get them back, brutally, when the time presents itself.

Expect this to get a lot worse before it gets better.

Women have seen how little consequences some of these lying cunts have had, like Jackie Coakley from the UVA case. They are seeing how negligible the blowback will be for them if they straight up lie about men and do it online, and they are becoming more emboldened to make any sort of accusation.

Fuck, half the time they benefit from the accusation like mattress girl getting invited to the State of the Union by a goddamn senator.

This sexual assault bandwagon is moving off of celebrity status on to local/walmart status now. There was a local story about some doctor abusing patients, with 2-3 initial claims...then oh, all of a sudden weeks later tens of people come out and jump on board. Then it comes out that a lot of people have a beef with this doctor because he wouldn't fulfill or free write prescriptions to pill addicts or women who wanted anti depressants. He is/was a red pill eastern European immigrant.

Its like small town bill cosby

As long as these pussy men, including guys like that falsely accused German student, don't sue these women into the ground, then cunts like these will march on.

What goes through your mind, you've been falsely accused, your life ruined and then you slinker away into the corner and pee yourself and not try to get back?

You're better off to let it go. First of all, realize that if you do anything to them that is 1/10th as bad as what they did to you, YOU will suffer consequences greater than they did! It's not fair, but that's one advantage women have in society. Second, women like that almost always get their due...their need for drama catches us to them. YOU don't need to do anything! They'll get theirs, probably around the time they hit the wall. Woman can't STAND hitting the wall.

Let's say a guy punched you. You'd be seething with rage! And you'd want to hurt him back. Now, let's say this guy was standing in the middle of a crowded highway. With LOTS of traffic back and forth. And an 18 wheeler headed right for him. Would you risk your life dodging traffic to stand in the middle of the highway with him, just so you could punch him. Or would you grab some popcorn and wait for his inevitable come-uppance, which you will enjoy from your safe vantage point?

That's what you should do with these two chicks.

I don't think rio intends to go out of his way to exact revenge. Which is what your analogy is stating.

From my point of view, he was planning to do as you suggested except rather than simply eat the popcorn, maybe toss it in their faces while they are getting whats coming to em.

This hits a little bit close to home for me. One of the guys that got his career wrecked for his hideously bad texting game on girls he met through Upright Citizens Brigade and IO West, I don't think I've taken his class, but I am an alumnus of those improv schools. He should have been swimming in pussy, he was regularly on the main stage of UCB. However, being a teacher and trying to fuck your students and sending them really bad texting game messages of the different ways he wants to fuck them is the wrong way to go about it.

I assume he is done in Hollywood, his agent dropped him, but I can probably get ahold of him and get him onto the forum, it may be too late to salvage his career in Hollywood, but could prevent this from happening again in another city. From what I can tell, he never raped anyone, just sent some really bad game through text messages to improv girls/ improv groupies. Should I?

Oh never mind, the dude cleaned up while he was in Los Angeles, banged out over a hundred hot young actresses. Something was a little bit off though, he was into some weird shit. He could probably bust out a data sheet though, it would be: get really good at comedy, bang a lot of chucklefuckers, have a perversion like wanting to dress up as the girls' fathers or have sex with a downs girl in her grandma's basement while the grandma is sleeping etc.

Quote:Over the last few weeks, over 100 girls have come forward about a guy in the LA comedy scene. Here's one of their quotes...

"I met Blake when he coached my sketch team. He found me on Facebook that evening and sent me a message saying that I was really talented and that I should audition for the house teams at iO. What started off as a compliment and career advice quickly turned into him saying that he wanted to fuck my "young little pussy bare with his big cock". Stupid me had only been in LA for a few weeks, and didn't know anything about him, so I was flattered and decided to hook up with him. He told me he was into role play and wanted do daddy/daughter stuff- but it was really graphic. He told me he wanted to dress up like my ACTUAL DAD and "fuck the 8 year old version of myself". He wanted me to act like a child and beg him to stop. He told me he wanted me cry and say, "Daddy, please don't hurt me." Because he wanted to say, "Shhhhh. Daddy loves you and this is our little secret and don't you dare tell anyone about this." He actually sent me messages with actual dialogue he wanted me to say. Well I shut that shit down. No fucking way. I still agreed to sleep with him though. And continued to for much longer than I care to admit. If he saw me at iO talking to other guys, he would send me texts saying, "Those other guys want your tight little pussy, but they can't have you because you are mine. You belong to me." Some nights he would text me to come over, and when I said I didn't want to, he would say, "I bet you're fucking other dudes right now. I bet you're letting them cum inside you." I told him I wanted to end hooking up with him, that it was mentally exhausting and caused me a lot of stress and anxiety and he told me he "will never stop aggressively pursing me, because I belong to him and no one else can have me." I would avoid bumping into him at iO, and would delete texts from him before I even read them because they would stress me out. Hmmm. I thought I would feel better by writing this. I still feel like shit though. But this is for all the other women who did agree to sleep with him, like I did. And how it still fucked us up."

a quote from one of the girls in the la underground comedy scene facebook group(yes I'm a member but don't really use the group much) which ultimately led to the player's demise. A lot of the girls basically ran him out of town. If he just was a little smarter about all of this, he could have kept this going indefinitely.

Remember, the dude parlayed his celebrity status to bang out over a hundred hot young actresses, he was doing something right, but a few things wrong, basically bad text game. With all of the texting guides out there, I try to just use Roosh's advice of keeping the texting to logistics.

More laws. More government interference in the lives of citizens. More restrictions on speech. Our Orwellian nightmare grows ever darker.

Why is this happening?

This is the inevitable result of a society which has completely lost touch with virtue and morality. It's really quite simple: a people who broadly lack virtuous character (which by definition compels them to act rightly the vast majority of the time) must have their good behavior compelled by other means. Enter the government. If good behavior cannot be produced through internal character it will be enforced through external coercion.

In other words, a people can only be as free as they are virtuous and moral. Without these qualities their society will require a litany of oppressive laws in order to preserve some semblance of public order. As a society loses its moral foundation and its citizens lose personal virtue, the laws become ever-more numerous and invasive. It cannot be any other way.

This is, essentially, the great secret of the ages that has been hiding in plain sight since the beginning: freedom, which we humans crave more than anything, is paradoxically not the absence of all restraint on behavior, rather it is the byproduct of voluntarily restraining ourselves by the bonds of virtue and morality. The ox without any restraint wanders around, digs up the grass and makes huges piles of shit. The ox, properly harnessed, pulls a plow that helps to create a bountiful harvest. So it is with man: without restraint he is aimless and destructive. With the proper God-given restraints of virtue and morality, he prospers and creates enduring achievements for himself and his progeny.

"For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away. But the word of the Lord endureth forever.” - 1 Peter 1:24-25

Quote:She continues: "I was really afraid that if I told anyone or did anything, it would hurt my career."

Standard female hamstering. Instead of admitting they decided to act like a drunken slut, they accuse the nearest man of drugging and raping them. If that happens to destroy an innocent mans reputation and take away his ability to earn a living. Well that's not their problem.

I had a female friend try to pull similar shit. When her marine boyfriend left for a year to do a combat tour in Iraq she got drunk one night and ended up banging an ex. Later she told me: "Someone must have slipped me something because I was really drunk after only a few beers." I told her that if she really believed that she was drugged she should contact the police immediately so they could start an investigation. Otherwise she should take responsibility for her actions, and admit that she decided to be a drunken slut. She declined to contact the police, and shortly afterwards told her deployed boyfriend that she wanted an "open relationship". Because it wasn't fair that: "He had it so easy being deployed with all men while she was constantly surrounded by temptation."

In any case most large scale studies show that between 0%-2% of women claiming to have been unknowingly drugged and raped tested positive for date rape drugs. Even then it's impossible to tell what percentage of those women took drugs like rohypnol or GHB for recreational purposes. A valid question considering 64% of those same women tested positive for recreational drugs such as: marijuana, speed, coke, molly, etc.

At least 98% of women who were committed enough to their story to report it to police and get a rape kit done after said they were slipped something and raped were lying. What does that say about the large segment of women making claims that refuse to even report their accusations to police?

RE: Women Have Weaponized Gossip via Social Media
Blah, IO West just fired their program director for sexual harassment. What this means, from what the owner is saying, they will bring in a woman to run the theater and make it a safe space for women.

This is nothing really new in improv, assuming all of it is actually true, the improv 'legends' over at Chicago would always bang the hot young female students that take their classes. In this case however, the artistic director was apparently pulling girls' internships when they reject him for dates. Do that enough times, and you are bound to get fired.

http://www.buzzfeed.com/katiejmbaker/adm...rpaja7DydD

Quote:James Grace, the artistic director at the iconic iO West comedy theater, was let go Friday following multiple allegations of sexual harassment. Grace, however, told BuzzFeed News that he “absolutely” denies the “validity of the allegations” made against him.
The iO Theater is a renowned comedy theater and training center with branches in L.A. and Chicago.
Allegations first surfaced against Grace in early February, when former iO West intern Bella Cosper said that Grace made unwanted advances on her at a party in 2007, and that she was fired shortly after rejecting him. On Friday, a second former iO West intern, Alexandra McCale, said in a private Facebook group dedicated to dealing with sexual harassment in comedy that Grace had made unwanted advances and groped her.
“If this is uncomfortable to hear, believe me, it is no fun to retell over and over,” McCale wrote.
Hours later, a third female comedian and former student at iO West named Tiffany Aleman said James rescinded an offer of an internship after she rejected his advances.
The comedy world has been struggling to find effective ways to cope with allegations of sexual assault and harassment, as more and more women come forward with stories of being abused by colleagues and authority figures. Several male comedians were banned from comedy theaters in L.A. after facing allegations of sexual assault and harassment, and comedy institutions like iO West and the Upright Citizens Brigade are instituting new policies to deal with the problem.
James is only the latest comedy figure to stand accused of sexual harassment based on accusations aired on Facebook. Female comedians told BuzzFeed News that women have been turning to social media to deal with sexual abuse and harassment because they feel they have no other option.
James’ firing was confirmed by Charna Halpern, the founder of the iO Theater, in an email to BuzzFeed News.
“Yes James was let go- I’ll have announcements this week about my new producer and female artistic director,” Halpern told BuzzFeed News in an email. “Things will be wonderful and I praise all the [women] who came forward to discuss issues that they felt affected iOWest.”
On Wednesday, Halpern sent a letter to performers, students, and employees, a new code of conduct for the iO Theater, and assurances that “iO is committed to providing a safe and respectful place for comedy to be made and appreciated.”
“In the upcoming weeks, we will be distributing an employee manual, which will establish our expectations of iO’s employees, students, instructors and performers,” Halpern added.
Halpern came under harsh criticism in early February for her handling of Cosper’s story. Cosper said that she went to Halpern shortly after the incident, but that Halpern had not taken her seriously and had offered free classes to make amends, a charge Halpern denies.
Halpern posted and later deleted a Facebook post stating that “there are times when there are women who just like to either cause trouble or get revenge or just want attention so they make up stories.” Halpern later said that she felt “terrible” about hearing that women at the iO Theater felt unsafe.
Gina Ippolito, a writer and comedian who has helped raise awareness about sexual harassment in the comedy community, said she was glad more women were coming forward.
“I just want this stuff to stop being hidden. I want people to keep talking about it until it’s so rare that it’s actually shocking to hear about harassment and assault in the community, as opposed to it being the status quo,” Ippolito said. “There have been no repercussions for this kind of behavior for as long as the community has existed, and now there are going to be a lot of people in for a rude awakening when they start being called out for it.”
