With a waffenschein you can just carry a gas gun. In detail its the kleiner Waffenschein - small weapons permit. To get a real gun is a way more complicated in Germany.
Most people either buy a gas gun or pepperspray. Thats all. German citizens will not turn into arms.

Not just that - you need to register with the Polizei (the cops) and it's EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to get one. Chances are you won't be able to, unless you can demonstrate beyond doubt that someone has already made attempts at your life. And still they may give you a hard time. There are exceptions for hunters but then you can only get a rifle and not a pistol.

Basically getting a handgun is nearly impossible for German law abiding citizens. The country was completely wussified after WW2 - as many other European nations I may add. The same situation exist here in Spain. I even friends who are police officers and with their connections I am unable to even go to a shooting range and blast off a few. I would have to do the entire licensing thing and the regulations are simply too much to bear.

Of course all the criminals are packing as they don't give a rat's ass about the law.

As a side note: I noticed a considerable increase of North Africans in my Spanish 2nd tier hide out. They are everywhere now parsing the streets - mostly on [stolen] bikes. Rarely cause any trouble as they are dispersed but they do get more frisky when they start congregating in the city centers. Just a matter of time until Spain gets its dose of cultural enrichment.

How long until Russian AK47s find their way into Europe through Hungary and Serbia?

They're already there, stashed in the boiler rooms of the refugee centers.

Cologne Sexual Assaults Rises to 500+

Jihadis 'may be in Calais camp', ex police terror chief claims

Another migrant from Afghanistan also told the BBC team there had been a murder in the area on the previous night.

A former Scotland Yard counter-terrorist investigator told the Inside Out team he had similar worries about the "jungle".

David Videcette said the "biggest risk" from the camp was UK nationals "who are trying to avoid detection by police... are now attempting to re-enter the country claiming to be asylum seekers".

However, the founder of Care4Calais, a UK charity set up to help migrants staying in the camp, dismissed the claims as "the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard".

Clare Moseley said: "You would have to be the world's stupidest terrorist to try and enter Britain as a refugee, because when you come as a refugee you are subject to detailed background checks."

Home Secretary Theresa May has previously told MPs all refugees coming to Britain will be subject to rigorous security checks to make sure IS militants are not among them.

Nevertheless, Mr Hurley insisted that it was not possible to carry out such detailed checks.

"You can't check a person with no passport coming from a fractured country", he said.

btw-In the various articles I have read concerning the rape of Europe I have noted a large number of female cops. Even in riot gear, which I found unusual. Far more than I see here in the states.
