How to maintain a positive vibe and mindset?
A positive mindset is important to keep yourself motivated and focused on the things you want to accomplish. Also, people tend to like the positive vibe they feel when they're surrounded by positive minded people. Negative people only drag you down and are draining your energy. Getting stuck in a negative mindset can even lead to things like a depression.

I find it very hard to maintain a positive mindset with all the bullshit that's going on, because it feels like you're mostly on your own in this world. Most people are fake, retarted or not the type of people you would hang out with. I rarely feel a mental connection with them, but I'm forced to deal with them in every aspect of life.

How do you guys keep a positive mindset?

Rubbish in = rubbish out.
Avoid all negative media, people and places. Humans are influenced, whether they like it or not, by their environment.

Body and Mind are linked.
Good diet, exercise and sleep habits.

You become what you think about.
If you focus on negative thoughts that is what you are inviting more of into your life. Focus on what you want and ignore the rest.

RE: How to maintain a positive vibe and mindset?
I struggle with this somewhat as well. What I'm going to tell you is pretty common information but most people do not put it into application.

Set small goals so you are constantly winning and accomplishing things. This is critical and especially helpful for long term goals. For me, this involves waking up and drinking 32 oz of water. After that I take a long cold shower and do my morning cardio. I do not look forward to a cold shower and morning cardio but once they are done, I start my day with a victory. After that, its onto the next thing to conquer. I find that not only does this lead to a more positive mindset, it leads to a much more productive day.

RSDTyler on YouTube. RSD gets shit on a little bit for encouraging spam approaches, but I literally credit a lot of my success to all of those free YouTube videos of his...

Like his business or not, he's a master of developing the right mindset you want.

You can compare him to someone like Roosh who gives a ton of free value away...but they have opposite personalities (at least from what I can tell via the web haha).

Also - the first half of The Book of Pook might be of interest.

RE: How to maintain a positive vibe and mindset?
1. Be very careful about drug use, especially alcohol. Altering your mood artificially can have a bunch of unpleasant consequences. If you take any drug on a regular basis, it's a good idea to take a week or two off every now and again to make sure you aren't sliding down a dark road to addiction.Even if you aren't an addict, it can still be a net negative in terms of how it affects your life.

2. Don't try and solve or really even think about the world's problems, focus on your own life and self improvement.

3. Don't spend too much time on the internet or staring at a screen consuming electronic entertainment. Time in nature, reading physical books, and talking to new people face to face just for the heck of it is good for you. Conversation can be surprisingly entertaining when you have no hidden agenda and are not seeking pussy or a business favor.

4. Wherever you are, in any particular moment, is where life is. Be mindful and appreciative of your surroundings. Instead of telling yourself, I will be happy at some point in the future when I am in this certain place, or when I bounce some girl on my dick, or when I have this amount of money, etc etc, just turn that voice off. Get in the habit of experiencing what is here and now, instead of constantly having your mind consumed by fear, worry, and escapism.

5. Ignore politics.

Deprisa deprisa a rumbo perdido"

I coulnd´t agree more with MiscBrah on that!
If you set small goals that are manageable you will find yourself in a good cycle of productivity.
I do the same thing with a to do list.
I write everything i have to do on there and do them one after the other.
When i´m able to do 2 or 3 things of this list i´m always doing the rest to and it feels awesome to get a lot done.

This is great advice and I agree this is the best way to keep your mood positive.
Unfortunately I don't execute any of the above steps for very long.
Alcohol doesn't affect me too much and I try to appreciate the moment but I spend too much time online and read about politics regularly.
Some would disagree with me but I think it's important to know how the world works, how the wheels turn, who's pulling the strings, to be aware of the propaganda we hear and see daily via mainstream media and to be able to counter it with facts, reason and evidence.
Problem is that immersing yourself in this stuff can weigh heavily on your mind, particularly when you see so many people online who swallow the narrative completely and who double down whenever you point out the reality of what's happening rather than what they've been conditioned to believe.
But that said, not spending too much time online would resolve a lot of this, as I've found that even people who spend hours per day posting propaganda online, are for the most part ok in person when/if you meet them socially.

Excellent post

I also find that blocking yourself from other people's advice helps as well. Not sure about you, but when I was younger, I got fed some awful crap advice

such as "moderation is key"
"be yourself"
"its the personality that is important"

All a load of rubbish, set a goal, and work your ass off for it

Diet first and foremost. When I slack I find myself in a foul mood for no legitimate reason.

RE: How to maintain a positive vibe and mindset?
Develop rituals that become part of you.

My morning ritual --physical level-- is early rise - 6am. Take cold shower. Meditate a bit. Do a bit of yoga and breathing exercises. 20 sit ups. 20 push ups. Short Abdominal Plank. 30 strides.

Morning ritual -- mental. Focus on gratitude (30 sec) -- I ask if today was my last day, could I leave in a state of gratitude. Think of all the good that occurred in my life. Then 30 sec of focusing on and developing the state of courage. Then 60 sec - of focusing on achieving results -- I repeat my goals written in my diary. Then 30 sec in a positive physical posture.

Then I have my cup of smoothie -- which is broccoli, kale, banana, and apple blended together.

Then I look at my diary where my goals are written out. Which includes the to do list.

This morning ritual is automatic for me and always put me in a good physical and mental state.

I also do the mental ritual just before going to bed.

RE: How to maintain a positive vibe and mindset?
In one sentence I would say: Make "Happiness" or being "content" your priority. I think it´s not true that you can accomplish more things with being happy. Many people don´t care about happiness they want to accomplish things: women, money and so on. It´s a trade off that´s why it´s so hard. You have to sacrifice some goals. You can´t have your cake and eat it.

RE: How to maintain a positive vibe and mindset?
Thanks for the responses! I have always been positive minded and full of energy to accomplish things, but my main issue is that I'm surrounded by people who are not like that. I find it much harder than before to 'shield' myself against their toxic mentality. To hold on to my own frame instead of their shitty frames. Humans are social creatures, so we need social contacts. I don't feel a mental connection anymore with the social contacts that I have or with most people that I meet in daily life.

I figured out that being surrounded with good people gives an extremely high boost to your positive energy levels. The mental connection you feel with them is amazing. And being full of positive energy makes it easier to deal with all the negativity in daily life. This lack of good people is fucking me up.

Keeping myself busy is the main thing I'm doing now. It's easy to fall back to a negative mindset if you have no goal in life.

All these points are really good but the bolded is by far the most important thing. Quite frankly, why give a fuck about worrying about what's to come in the future. While you should definitely plan and anticipate your future needs (YOLO is no way to live), once that's done enjoy the moment you're in. If you're in a moment which is sucking ass at the moment, get through it and live to fight another day. I structure my life such that most of what I'm doing to live today will help me to live well tomorrow. That keeps the anxiety and worry down and makes me content. If your fucking around, doing stupid wasteful stuff most of your days, you need to change what your doing. People who are doing that stupid, unproductive shit have the most anxiety because they know deep down, they're not doing what they need to be doing. That's why things like the internet, tv, watching sports, drinking etc produce such anxiety since they're massive time sinks for most people instead of the pleasant diversions that they should be.

The other big thing is to have good people around you who wont fuck your shit up and want the same things from life that you want. Anyone who isn't adding to your life needs to be subtracted and you need to keep searching for good people. They're out there but you have to be willing to get out there and find them. That's not a waste of time. Agreed, great topic.
