This just showed up on my Facebook feed.

Infowars presenter Alex Jones has just announced a police officer has died protecting him from an assasination attempt.

What the fuck is going on?

Alex Jones has said before that the they wouldn't try to kill him as it would make him a martyr and give him legitimacy.

Is this real or has he gone completely insane?

I've been burned too many times, before I caught on, by Alex Jone's "news" that I'm pretty sure this is shenanigans.

Unless there's some real evidence other than something on [dis]infowars.

P.S. Don't forget to buy his "cleanse" formula.

I've been thinking about starting a thread here to ask about others opinions of Infowars for a while now, so this might as well be that thread.

The cheesy adverts for cleansing formulas, and the constant negative tone about the new world order were huge red flags for me as well.

However the last few months, we've seen many posters talk about the same 'conspiracy theories' mentioned by sites like Infowars in the Trump thread and migrant invasion of Europe thread. We've seen Mike Drudge and Donald Trump appear on Infowars, that's when I decided to give it a chance and listen to what they had to say.

I remember watching a video of him at the Grand Cayon standing in front of a UNESCO sign saying it owned by the UN because it was a world heritage site. I remember thinking this guy is either an idiot or a liar.

He's a curious character who has published a lot of content over the years but he's come under close scrutiny recently and he's alleged to be an intelligence agent.

Alex is dis-info and losing credibility fast. Just went through a nasty divorce. Possible that he'd stage something but that would assume he's snapped, and his crazy persona reeks of being an act and not legitimate.

Some of his fans however are deep into this stuff, I could envision one of them making a play at his life. Didn't one of them recently climb the fence outside the white house? He's not a threat to any government organization, I don't buy the assassination theory one bit.

Alex is....unusual. As posited by other posters I think it most likely that he's an intelligence agent. At the very least someone did a very good job of training him in NLP.

That said there have been a few times where infowars was the only website to accurately report events. I'm legally prohibited from saying anything more specific than that.

Paul J Watson is mentioned here a lot and respected for talking about radical islam, feminism and neomasculinity.

He is part of Infowars, the other presenters also have a much a more calm style.

It leads me to believe that perhaps InfoWars isn't as crazy as it seems, and it's actually just Alex Jones' extremely passionate ranting about the NWO, and all the negative press it gets that puts people off.

So he's an intelligence agent who has hired someone in the UK like Paul Joseph Watson to report for him as well? What does that make PJW then?

Also there onstant allegations that he is a zionist shill in comment sections as well without much proof should we believe that as well? Yes he doesn't mention Jews, Isreal, criticises Hitler and uses the term Nazi like an insult. But I'm not sure I believe that one either.

I appreciate yours and everyone else's input though, and I'm still open minded on my opinion of this news website. It's just some of these replies are bringing up more questions than answers for me and I'm just trying to understand this as best as I can.

I've seen Easy E post in police/law enforcement/national security threads so he's probably a cop or works in the "defense" sector. So he's probably seen stuff we haven't but can't talk about it because it would be easy to out him.

Its not "his" its rebranded stuff from the global healing center. http://www.globalhealingcenter.com/ and its actually similar to other cleanse steps/packages that you can find elsewhere...so its not more 'snake oily' than any other cleanse theory.

People don't just mention an event of this kind and fail to provide any details which could be verified. 99% chance it didn't happen.

As another poster stated, I have also been burned following Alex. He has spread a lot of knowledge to the masses in the United States. I feel that the record number of gun purchases over the years is a direct result of his efforts.

It's hard for me to say whether this news is true or not without more evidence. One thing I do know for sure, if you talk too much, the powers that be will kill you.

A guy that was way more accurate than Alex Jones was William Cooper. Cooper, among other things, predicted the 9/11 terror attacks would happen within days of the actual event. Cooper was more dangerous than Jones and he had to be silenced.

Yep, the boss don't matter for shit when it comes to real working knowledge of world events versus news hand knowledge. There are a lot of legal hammers that can be brought down when it comes to this stuff. Hopefully Hillary gets one of those when Trump gets elected.

I like the news on InfoWars.com, though it's mostly a compilation of other sources. I don't watch too much of Jones' videos because I already know his main points and it's a bit too theatrical for me.

Has anyone noticed that the news on InfoWars, Zero Hedge, and RT is converging towards one nationalist narrative? This convergence is happening in the manosphere to a degree as well.
