Hello, I need your advice/suggestion regarding a difficult situation I(my brother) am in.

My brother who lives in a middle east country, he recently met a girl online and both of them married as per Hindu marriage act.

Now the problem is that the girl disappeared one night within few days of marriage after a minor argument along with all jewellery and ornaments and cash . Everything was planned and her family members were waiting outside . Brother was also beaten up badly by them.

Now no one is helping him neither Indian embassy or the local police. Because they feel the proper procedure was not followed as per rules . But the fact is that the girl manipulated him by telling him the opposite and her family scammed him with the connivance of an employee of the temple.

I am leaving for that country on sunday, so any suggestion would be helpful.

Coupleof suggestions:
1) "I need a suggestion" is not a descriptive title for a thread.
2) The bright side is your brother found out early on what a low-life his bride and in-laws are. Better to find out about such people early on than after years of marriage when children are involved.
3) He needs advice specific to that country. First, how to divorce her to get her out of his life. IMHO this is a requirement. Second,whether there is any way to get money back (may take time, aggravation,expenses and it may not be worth it.)

As per Indian embassy officials , this is not a legal marriage and my brother is free to get married again. But they are not helping us in legal advice or the arrest of their family members .

You are right that it is not worth it to recover money, even though he lost his life savings , but he has a job so he can earn that lost money again.

Actually the girl wanted to have a child from day1 and even tried to force him to have sex with her . Her plan was to have sex and then blackmail us by telling the police that he raped her. So it is good that her plan failed .
