Are you flying solo, with friends or looking for somewhere chill to take a girl?

I know you asked him, but what would you suggest for solo players?

I'll be in thailand for NYE,. Should be dope. Im tryna figuere out where to go as well. I get the feeling phuket will be a shit show esp. Bangla rd..but fun is a mindset so it's all what you make of it. I'm thinking a club in bkk would be a good time too. if anyone wants to meet up send me a message.

My plans are open.

RE: Thailand NYE questions?
Spaceman- Yes, the beach parties in Phi Phi finish at 2am on the dot. They're really strict on that there for whatever reason, considering the lack of police presense on the island.

I don't think Bangkok would be much different on new years compared to any other weekend night. If it were me, I would be experiencing the full moon party as a once in a lifetime thing. I understand it's not everyone's scene but you have Phi Phi for 3 days there so you must be okay with the beach party scene.

Phuket is a complete shithole by the way. Spend as little time there as possible. Go Go bars everywhere and the few decent clubs are overrun with westerners, most of which are coupled up. It still baffles me that a place like Patong appeals to so many couples as a holiday destination.

RE: Thailand NYE questions?
Bangkok for NYE is absolutely insane. Every single club is packed to the rafters, you can hardly move and it takes forever to get a beer. I'm sure they all let in more people than allowed and if a fire broke out, chit would get real very fast.

Here's some pics from a few years ago at Route 66, they pretty much triple the size of the outdoor area and had an indoor and outdoor DJ:

Queue for toilets, there were lots of people behind me:

Hey Swoosh,

I saw your other thread on NYE for Chiang Mai. I was in Chiang Mai for NYE two times so I thought I would drop some knowledge.

If you are going to do NYE there, the place to go is Zoe in Yellow bar. This bar is located inside the city wall on the north eastern side. Zoe is basically backpacker party central so tons of white chicks and Thai girls who are interested in foreigners are all there. It gets really crowded during NYE and the drinks are mad cheap...100 Baht (3.33USD) for 3 tequila shots anyone?

My recommendation would be if you are going to be in CM for NYE, hit up THC rooftop bar on the west side of the city wall (Thae Pae gate area) around 9PM for pre-game. Come 11PM ish, head off to Zoes and just have a blast.

Hopefully you will start New Year with a BANG. If you know what I mean. Banana hahaha

RE: Thailand NYE questions?
Anybody have any thoughts on where to stay in phuket after new years?

I don't want any working girls... Just a spot with western chicks that isn't fucked like most of phuket...

I'll only be there two days before I bounce so a decent resort could be cool

For beach destinations, if gaming girls is high on your list of priorities, which it probably is, then I would suggest Phuket and after that Samui. These two islands are ok for gaming, but nothing like Bangkok, unless you are into tourists or pros/semi pros (Phuket has a better ratio of pro to non pro Thai girls). I may have some forum members disagree with me, but simply put, all the developed islands and Pattaya are crawling with girls who came from some other area of Thailand, Burma or Cambodia to make money; whether it's working in the service industry, hustling male tourists or both. Phuket is big enough that you can find a few out of the way chilled out beaches and many unspoiled islands nearby. I rarely visit Phuket and Samui these days because they are too developed, which is a problem in Thailand because every island that is developed is poorly developed. I actually think Thais should take out a patent on how to ruin a tropical island paradise. The islands I visit these days for a beach holiday are places like Koh Tarutao, Koh Rok, Koh Lanta, Koh Phayam, Koh Bulon Lae and Koh Chang, which isn't that great, but I can drive there from BK. The first two are national park islands with 0 nightlife or daytime options and only limited electricity during the day. If you have time, you could also go to BK first, have fun for a few days and pick the best out of the many girls you will likely meet and take her to a chilled out island, that still has decent hotels, like Lanta, Koh Kood or Koh Yao Noi.

A+ guys your info is gold. Zamski, is 10 days out of a 16 day trip too long to spend in chiang Mia? My day game has been on fleek lately and maybe cm is a good spot to hold up.

I almost can't handle the mega meat parties of nye if it's like any other "best international nye party spot of the year" location. Thanks for the CM info.

Side question, I have a date lined up with a local girl. She hasn't said anything but from the way she dresses she is traditionally Muslim.
Am I asking for trouble ( ie family will hunt my hedonistic ass down) ?? Are these gals hard to crack?

10 days is kind of long for Chiang Mai if you are trying to party most of your trip. I would say a good 5 days is all you need in order to check out this small city.

Spaceman for what it's worth, you could always have a tuxedo tailored for you and hit up Bangkok for NYE. From experience major cities always host a higher caliber. From all the Intel ive gathered though. The islands will be international tourist ground zero. The reports I've been getting are that they tend to have a heavy dude presence.... Not that it should be a problem since you're a level 12 playboy at this point. Wink Have fun and good luck man

Damn Afarang that looks sick! A bit sausage-festy from what it looks but still..
I don't see how Koh Phangan is not #1 on at least some people's lists (where they have the full moon parties).. it's an experience you simply have to have. Beach was lined to the brim with smoking girls in bikinis and rave lights everywhere. remember people being paranoid about their things getting stolen tho, in fact, my polish friend had his wallet stolen while getting a BJ Laugh

I'd go to the Full Moon Party, but I'm not really into going there by myself... also, the hotels in Koh Phangan are feckin expensive, even the huts - costing 50 eur per day at least...

For those going to Koh Phangan, should check out Guys bar and Eden garden, have to take a short boat from the beach to Haad Yuan.

Chiang Mai is a great place to knuckle down to start an online biz, network and make connections, and drink up Thai culture all the while living cheap. However it's nightlife is crap compared to elsewhere in Thailand, and if Thai girls aren't your thing then God help you because the Westerners that go there are usually of the vegan feminist attention-whoring yoga posing variety. The town is infested with them.

About Zoes on NYE, a few months ago the place was shutting down at 1-130 due to some disagreement with the cops, afaik a bouncer kicked the shite out of a farang (I could be wrong on the details) so if this is still happening, this is a major hit to CM nightlife. Someone who's still on the ground there would know more than me though.

So I certainly wouldn't come here to party, NYE or any other time. Chiang Mai is a good place to live for the reasons I've mentioned and you can have fun here, but there are better places in Thailand imo.

BKK/Koh Phangan would be my choices for NYE.

Yes. Far, far better than the FMP, better ratios, nice laid back vibe.

Zoe in Yellow is closing at midnight these days, in fact every bar and nightclub that a non local will find is forced to close at midnight with some places pushing the envelope a little to 12:30 or 1am. If any of the forum members are coming to CM over the holidays, I would recommend GoodView riverside and the surrounding group of restaurant/bars that are favoured by Chinese and Korean girls. I'm using early closing game these days; going out at 11pm searching for Thai or Chinese girls sending Ioi's to hook up. Usually hit Zoe, the Thai bars in Santitham, Differ and Goodview. I'll also go to Nimman as well, Blar Blar Bar, Warm Up or even Tawan Dang.

RE: Thailand NYE questions?
I have a good friend in CM right now, he's been going there for 5-6 years, 3ish months at a time.

He's finding the women a lot more difficult to get out, and despite loving the place he's probably done this year, cutting his time there a little short to move onto destination #2, Cebu.

Socially speaking, I liked Bangkok a hell of a lot more than CM. But good luck getting work done there if you've got low self control.

There are a couple of co working spaces in sukhmvit if you have the dedication and disincline to go.
And it's not like in Bangkok there is party everyday. But there are definitely more girls around than Chiangmai if you are more into the player kinda lifestyle.

Defiantly subbed to this thread as I'm in Chiang Mai, but worried they are going to shut it down at 12 even for new years. I'm taking Halloween as a que where the rule was still enforced. A few places stayed open, But it was just luck to be at those.

I'm thinking bkk right now. Pattaya would be fun and not as mess as the islands. Higher caliber of people.

If you can't do any better, you've settled. --me--

Spicy, Zoe's and THC bar are all garbage.

It's the Khao San and Insanity of CM.

RE: Thailand NYE questions?
I'm in Phuket right now and yes, as mentioned already the nightlife is horrendous.. from a gaming perspective. Not because it's not fun. Seduction had great setup and music for example. Problem with Bangla road is that most Thai girls are working and most westerners are either on a couples vacation or promoting a club or something. But on the positive side, if you are a decent looking white dude, you can score Thai girls for free or get lucky with a Swedish or British backpacker on holiday.

IMO best club right now on Bangla for gaming proper Scandi chicks is White Room. Not big, but good atmosphere and way more relaxed and fun than Seduction or Illuzion. 300 baht cover that goes toward anything on the bar menu. Prevents people from constantly walking in just to check it out. Prime time is 12-2am. Open till 4am. Groups of Finish, Swedish, British chicks. All ages but mostly early 20s.Best thing is that % of working girls is probably less than 10-20%, which by Bangla standards is pretty low. (there are groups of Thai girls that are automatically suspect of working of course). Have fun!
