Can't be nice to go through your early 20s and see most of your friends killed week by week. Stand up guy though.

The Holocaust at Dresden is one of those things you don't learn about in school here. A damn shame. I am sorry to hear that your grandfather was a part of that. The whole damn war was a disaster, and what the ruling elite in the West has done over the last 75 years, essentially unchecked, is frankly mind boggling. I am sure your grandfather was a stand up guy. The RAF pilots didn't have the luxury of picking and choosing their targets. I wonder what he'd think of the outcome of the war if he could look at the state of the west today - drenched in cultural Marxism and being replaced by third world immigrants?

If calling the terror bombing of entire civilian populations with fire bombs a war crime puts me on the unconventional side of history, then I am proud to be here. It is clear why Allied countries wouldn't teach that in history, that's for sure. I am not sure they teach anything about the war these days except The Holocaust™.

Yeah I don't think controversial literature like that is taught much anymore, so I'm fortunate I had great teachers making us read stuff like that, 1984, Brave New World, Animal Farm, Catch-22, Fahrenheit 451 etc. The kind of critical thinking you develop from reading that kind of art is sorely missed today.

Firebombing Tokyo killed more than dropping an atomic bomb on Hiroshima. People freak out about a nuclear blast, but don't understand that the U.S. were already doing more damage with conventional weaponry. Is a civil or military putsch even possible given that US troops occupy Germany without a peace treaty?

It wouldn't surprise me if someone told me that a US quartermaster has to issue live rounds to German troops before they go onto the rifle range for target practice.

That survey was conducted in 1938. The corollary was the bigger picture; Britain (and its colony Palestine) and the USA's refusal to take in Jewish refugee ships, in some cases turning them back.
