Great stories, Onto. Respect. I was a little surprised that a random girl had an Australian Jabba the Hutt boyfriend. There cant be that many girls there with foreign BFs, surely? Was it just more likely because you were hanging in the expat part of town?

And those guys you were drinking with could well have been bad guys or even gang bangers. I mean, you are probably going to be OK, but you just don't know who you're dealing with. It can be obvious to a local but you just don't see the signs.

Thanks RawGod. It's funny, I haven't heard from Julie in a couple weeks but she sent me a message this morning. Made me wonder if she is reading.

I think living near an ex-pat area is definitely part of it. There are ex-pats that hang out down in Times Beach also, but I think those guys are older and know the area well. I never read about it on the forum here before I went and it's not like downtown where there are a lot of girls running around. Some say Times Beach is kind of sketchy, but I felt safe enough. Though it did feel much more isolated than other parts of Davao.

Julie is quite attractive so I imagine she's been getting with foreigners or a while. She told me today that there is another guy interested in her and she can't promise me anything.

I do think there are a good amount of foreign guys that come and go through Davao. Not as much as Manila and Cebu of course, but the place is certainly on the radar for many.

There were other girls I approached that were hotter than Julie and from looking at their Facebook pages they were not getting it on with any foreign guys, but who knows really? I know I wasn't successful with them.

Great to read about your stories Onto! I remember you telling me over Skype how you went to Julie's house with your guitar and had the aunt then the mom before meeting Julie. I thought that was a move straight from a Harlequin book, the kind of moves that girls dream about. Well done my friend.

Next time you definitely need to leave your approach anxiety in the US! And completely espouse the attitude that you can have any girl there you want and it's only up to you as to which one YOU decide to go after.

Oh and next time, go after higher end girls and get yourself involved into local clubs, or the chamber of commerce to get access to the higher level not only talent but also people, both locals and expats.

Thanks VP, the Skype sessions we had were so valuable to me. I really appreciate the giving of your time and wisdom. It helped me immensely. I hope we get the chance to hang out in Asia one of these years soon.

I am 41....get lots of email on FC. Put my age at 36/37.
Not bald though and in shape for my age.

I say work on yourself. Take up a vegan diet.
Cut alcohol, sugar and carbs.

Drop the weight in 30-60 days and then go back
and tear it up.

Girls are going to seek out their best options. Period.

You should also goto Manila instead of Davao. Many more
targets there.

Damn man the secret is out. I have seen like 10 crackers in the 3 hours I have been out here. Last time I was here in 2012 I wouldn't see 10 other white people in a month. You may as well go to Manila the girls there are hotter. I also noticed the Filipnas have plumped up, Thanks Jolliie Bee :/

Don't get it twisted though. I'm still glad as fuck to be back in the Phils
