Hey,

After a lot, and I mean loads, of research, reading countless threads here and busting my balls 10 times over on budget... I am visiting Chicago from London for 8 nights starting this Friday 2nd October through 10th.

I literally can not wait, but I am in some serious need of advice on nightlife for a solo guy.

I am 31, white British English, look 28-29 and in reasonably good to ok shape - I am not ripped or anything but 6'1 and have James Bond accent... so I am told of course. I am also told I look like a rugby player... I don't and never have played rugby lol I would say 7/10.

Day time activities... sorted.

Night time.. fun... not sorted.

I have mapped every venue that people have suggested in old data sheets but a lot of the places are now closed or have changed crowd etc.

I want to party - make no mistake - but I want to party with game firmly the priority, making the most of my English accent and openers.

If people could please share some current, up to date info on venues for the weekend and mid-week that would be very much appreciated. Especially where they would be solo-friendly and not make me look totally out of place. I'm down for local Chicago girls.

Also dress codes? I usually sport a Ralph polo shirt and smart jeans and shoes, or a shirt, blazer, jeans and shoes here in London - but so does everyone here - so I am hoping that standing out as a little different (like I did in LA) will be good.

To repeat... I am flying this Friday, so I will have a full weekend (and week) of partying ahead.

Dude go to the Wrigley field bars, the Cubs will play i believe on the 7 of OCT....It will be a great time there.....if anything, probably too much people, but a great experience,

I had good experience in Chicago recently. It might be one of the best for game in the usa. Dress nice if your downtown and approach like mad and say your working here for 3 months.

When I was there Public House had some great talent but I don't know the city really well. Hit up wrigleyville as well during cubs games as previous poster mentioned, it's usually easy to strike up on convo down there but I think there better options for gaming

What was the general mix of tourist vs local? Especially mid-week?

As a Chicago Resident, I will tell you where I have had success.

Paris Club - upscale nightclub, arrive before 11:00 to get in, you may still have to grease the bouncer.

Nacional 27 - Latin Place if you like Latin girls

SoundBar - Late night nightclub. Popular with Asian girls. Easy place to pull.

The Apartment- Near DePaul University. Get there before 12:00 to avoid a sausage fest.

Social 25 - fun place

Wrigleyville - Good when the Cubs are playing, otherwise avoid it.

Weekends.

Wrigleyville is good midweek if there is a game going on.

Not really sure about anything else for midweek.

they will have a playoff game on Wed. I would suggest going to a sports bar in wrigleyville to watch it will be a lot of people there...

I don't go out during the week but one time I went to Social 25 on a Wed for a friends bday, it was packed, lots of fun that night.

They have covered different elements. Where to stay and nightlife, specifically for Fall - two separate topics. If I've offended you I apologise.

Also, as for offering value. I live and play in London, whenever that topic comes up I will oblige. Also, I am in Chicago as I type this and it is my plan to provide and up to date data sheet to give you your 'value' but before I spent a shit ton of cash to get here I wanted to get it right, that way everyone here will be able to use my experience to their benefit in the future.

Your post is the most valuable one I've ever seen tbh.

Chicago is an absolutely fantastic city if you stay close to The Loop, and I'm sure that accent went over well. The Midwestern accent is so harsh, even have an East Coast accent over there helped me quite a bit game-wise.
