I'm in Eastern Europe now (and been here for few months) but will probably be heading out and spending my winter elsewhere.

I need a relatively cheap place that I can get an apartment in with friendly locals, nice girls, etc. Must have good internet infrastructure so I can get some work done. I speak fluent spanish and portuguese.

Also, I got family in Miami, so proximity to US would be a nice (although not required) thing to have.


Some places I've been thinking off .

- Dominican Republic? Been seriously considering this. Friend mentioned this place a while back and it seems like a good option. Is Santo Domingo the go-to city, or there're better places?

- Any other good Caribbean spots? Puerto Rico, Panama?

- SE Asia? Not big on Asian women in general but could be convinced if something's good.

- Southern Europe? I've been to Croatia (Adriatic coast) a month ago, and loved it, is it good in the winter? Any other spots that worth it?

I've lived in Mexico, Colombia, Argentina and Brazil and not interested in returning to these countries as of now.

I'll probably be back in EE next March/April.

Costa Rica would be a great choice, as it fits everything you mentioned you wanted, you can even extract US Dollars from the ATM machines. It's very close to USA, Internet infrastructure etc...

However, get away from San Jose, and venture off into places like Alajuela. The RooshV resident Costa Rica expert is CLR.

CLR, can you gives us more insight on cities outside San Jose you told me you recommend hanging your hat in for a few months?

Avoid Puerto Rico, Boricua girls are just not as hot per capita as South American and most Central American women IMO.

Of course, Tica women highly prefer blonde, green-eyed Euro/Gringo looking guys over the latin/hispanic look, unless you are a good looking, stylishly-dressed latin guy.

WIth costa rica I would either choose to be in Perez Zeledon or Heredia. Heredia is close to San Jose yet far enough away. Perez Zeledon gets a lot less foreigners. Those that do go there are only on their way to the Beach. If you want a beach town look into Dominical. While it is a small community, the turn over rate is high because of tourists. Rock A Verde is a good discoteque in Dominical. With San Jose most of the regular night life is in San Pedro around the college. Other good places in San Jose includes Bull Dogs in tres rios, Chubbs in downtown san jose, Castros Bar, and many others.

Cheap Places to rent can be had in Heredia, I personally prefered living in Guadalupe at Vista Linda Apartments good internet and decent apartments at a fair price. There is a bus stop right in front of it. However many of the other tenents are older in their 60's and are whore mongers.

Interesting. CR was the only country I passed by when I did the whole Central America tour few years back.

Anyone been/lived in Panama? That's the only other place I'm considering.

For real? I always thought puerto rican women were really hot, specially in terms of booty.

I haven't been to Panama but when I lived in CR many of my friends who went there loved it. Panama City is a much nicer city from what everyone told me than San Jose but that wouldn't be hard to believe. Better food, clubs ect. David is where several people I know moved to for a while but they said it gets boring. IT is also between 30 and 40 percent cheaper than CR for cost of living and the dollar is the local currancy.

Not when compared to your average South American girls.

Boricuas get blown out the water. they do not all look like J-lo or Jackie Guerrido. Most boricuas have busted faces, and are seriously overweight -- not to mention they have a very getto mentality.

You should see the shitloads of Puerto Rican men invading Colombia and Brazil nowadays looking for better latin women options.

I'll still approach a fine puerto rican girl if I spot one, no doubt, but they are rare to find and I won't go out of my way to look for them.

The rare J-LO/Jackie Guerrido gems exist, but, they know it.

Another thing to keep in mind, boricua women love to fuck black men mostly, second to their own Puerto Rican men. So, white men are at a disadvantage.
