Probably depends on the language. In Danish alien translates to foreigner (or when we use the English word, something visiting from space), but we more commonly call them immigrants ("indvandrere" - people who "wanders into...", which an etymology search suggests is closely related to the English "invasion").

I really have a lot of newfound respect for Viktor Orban and the Hungarians, but also for the entire Eastern European bloc. It really takes some balls to stand up lone country for what you believe in against powerful countries in Germany and the European Union. + 75% of the under 35 year olds are men

Mentioning any lack of qualified labor in Germany while 5 million are unemployed is one hell of a trick. They talk about electricians, construction workers, bakers etc. The reality is of course that as I mentioned before the businesses don't want to pay any sufficiently high wages for most of those professions. I know for a fact that bakers as well as many construction workers are woefully underpaid. Often the pay is only slightly above the one they could get while working for McDonald's - of course putting in a much more strenuous activity there.





That pretty much sums it all up.



Somehow I think the people deserve partly what's coming their way. I know that the propaganda is everywhere and they have been brainwashed all their lives, but in a way I feel ever less sympathy with them. They will burn in the hell they let the elite create for them.



I guess the LBGT community doesn't realize yet what's in store for them yet. Gays and Lesbians for refugees - that's like Jews inviting Nazis into Israel after WW2.

Why doesn't the EU just conscript all of these invaders, build an army, and use it to roll across the Middle East and liberate their nations?

These refugees will not be their neighbours, they will not be working with these refugees and you can surely bet their children will not be going to the same schools as these refugee children.

There is a reality and there is picture the media wants you to see.

Long before the exodus of Syrian migrants, there were other migrants making their way through Europe. Many of them camp out in France waiting for the chance to get to the UK. Yes, they made their way right across mainland Europe to make their way to the "promised land".

I will be curious to see how many of these people will settle in France and Germany. Eastern Europe countries don't have the economy or the social system in place to sustain these migrants. I find it hard to believe that they will set up shop in the Balkans or Hungary, both countries I have visited.

On a side note, I dated a girl once from a small Czech village. This village took a lot of Vietnamese boat people from back in the day. Now what do you know, years later these same "boat people" have immersed themselves in this community and are running successful small businesses.

If you want to make money of this the companies supplying metal and metal fencing, Halal food and gas masks would be my pick.

Hungary will go broke over keeping control of the situation. All those border guards need food, water, equipment and payment and it isn't like the flow of people is going to stop overnight.

And then you have the repairs to the fence and rotations of men on the front line. Its going to be a logistical challenge.
