Outlook on future
If this has been discussed already, please direct me to the relevant thread. I gather that the general view of the red pillers about this rapidly evolving world is that technology is going to play an even more important role.As redpillers, however, we are aware that the technological advantages do however weaken us, in some ways, mentally..E.g. everything is available at hand, we are becoming too lazy for our own good…also, too much information available on internet leads to information overload, making us indecisive and making people waste too much time on “worthless reading”, for lack of better term. Seems to me, that the qualities that are being eroded, like perseverance, focus, shall have big roles to play in future(since they would be at a premium). Would you guys agree? What are the other qualities that are going to be proverbial gamechangers in the future?

RE: Outlook on future
Knowing how something works is going to fade from the general population even though technology is moving in a direction that gives the appearance of the opposite.

What this means for men is that the skill set has to expand. As technology puts more tools in the toolbox we've got to recognize toys and crap and separate them from actual tools. When you find actual new tools you have to master them as a part of being a well rounded person. A well rounded man should be able to bed a woman, start a fire, build a chair, drive a car, and now... write a bit a code in C that does something on their *nix computing machine (Lisp on a Lisp machine is an acceptable substitute. However Python, HTML, and Javascript do not satisfy this as any computer you buy at the store today is a machine built to run C. Not all of these friendlier languages that will hold your dick while you piss). Just as a man should not be a victim of the automotive-archy if he owns a car he should not be a victim of his computer's "oppression."

The above may seem a bit extreme now, but as appliance like devices such as smartphones and game consoles come to dominate recreational computing it is going to become increasingly important for a man to be able to care for their working computers and infrastructural computing. While you make run game on your smartphone or game on a console, consumer wifi routers are absolute shit. As more people catch on to that men are going to do what men do best and fix the problem in their own house. As far out as doing anything other than buying a Netgear, Dlink, or whatever box from Best Buy is and derping with setting on the web console for it may seem a lot of people are rolling their own solutions to these problems. It started with IT pros and the paranoids, but by the time I stumbled on people doing this there were actual hobbyists learning and doing this. Not neckbearded perma-virgins, but normal ordinary responsible men. From making sure one's router behaves exactly as one wants it to, this spreads to having at least one laptop or desktop machine in the house.

A bunch of socialist CJW's (Computer Justice Warriors) would try to persuade you to move all of your shit to ubuntu right now. If you have a machine to spare you would honestly be better of giving OpenBSD a spin for a few months. The shit has incredible documentation available, and they keep it current. What the documentation says actually reflects how the software works, which is disappointingly rare. Ubuntu doesn't offer it though they offer a load of pinoys who do the equivalent of [url=http://philippinefailblog.com/four-wheel-deal-and-sm/]telling you to charge your toy car when the gearbox is broken.[url]

Men take care of problems. When shit hits the fan, men clean the fan. When faced with a crisis men address the problem at the problem. Perseverance and focus shall remain among men. Technology just offers new tools with new skillsets to learn.

RE: Outlook on future
I have been on a bit of a history binge as of late, but you need to look to the past to help see the future. The biggest problem of today and tomorrow is that life is simply too easy. There is no struggle. A couple hundred years ago, life expectancy was low and it was likely you would lose half your children to disease before they reach adulthood. Your wife would probably die giving childbirth too.

I'm not saying any of this is a good thing because it isn't. It's horrible. But people had to survive in order to thrive. It's what hardened them up and allowed them to create amazing things. I don't have the studies at hand, but there is a good chunk of extremely successful people who underwent some of the worst childhoods imaginable. Poverty, broken homes, abusive alcoholic parents and much worse. David vs. Goliath by Malcolm Gladwell touches on this phenomenon.

I had the easiest life in the world growing up. I came from a loving and supportive middle-class family. My parents gave me everything I needed to succeed as a kid. The only minor hardship was being the chubby kid on the playground in middle school. That's nothing compared to what people used to routinely endure. They only deaths I've had to cope with were my grandparents in their 90's who died of old age and my childhood dog who lived to be 16. My life has been easy as fuck when you look at how our great great-grandparents had it. We don't grow as individuals during the easy times. Our characters are forged by the hardships.

Life is going to continue to get easier in the first-world. My nephews and nieces were practically born with an Ipad in their hands. Critical thinking and common sense will continue to go down the drain right along with IQ's since the answer to 2+2 is just a Google search away. Why learn and retain information when you can have the answer to whatever you need in two seconds by reaching into your pocket? The worst possible outcome I see will be a mix between Idiocracy and the Eloi in H.G Wells The Time Machine for the average person. Add in the fat people from Wall-e and you have a crystal ball for the year 2200.

I think technology will continue to integrate into every facet of our lives. The gap between the average people who binge watch Netflix and follow celebrity gossip vs. the motivated achievers (us and every other high performer) will continue to grow. This will mean an ever growing wealth gap as the successful spend money on assets while the consumers continue buying Cheetos and the latest season of Gossip Girl. They will bitch and moan about how it's unfair so the government will take more of our tax money for their welfare. I don't know what the end game of it all will be but I would guess that technology will keep enough people entertained that they won't even notice the collapse.

All of this is great stuff for us. Life is hard for us who choose to live harder and work harder. Never before has the gap between men who can get it and the men who can't been greater or better defined. People who improve get to reap the lifestyle benefits and people who stagnate in their parent's basement don't.

Sure. Economic inequality is a thing and will remain a thing so long as anything at all remains a market. Brezhnev even in communist paradise where "murder was unimaginable" got any woman he wanted by pointing and letting his staff do the rest (not very alpha).

There will always be men. There will always be criminals. There will always be beta-omega simps. Portions may vary, but in the long run nature corrects imbalances. Welfare schemes always collapse, they have since Rome. Socialism always fails leaving its victims to find their place in more natural orders.

There's a big difference between working harder to get ahead in this day and age of relative ease and working harder to scrape by so your family doesn't die of starvation or freeze to death.

Coasting through life has never been easier. 47 million Americans, that's 1 in 6, are on foodstamps. Over 100 million Americans live in households that receive some sort of welfare.

Life is too easy. You'd see more "hard workers" if there were no such thing as food stamps. Being a family man has fallen out of style too; men have little responsibility any more so it's no surprise that there's a bunch of netflix watching videogame binging basement dwelling nerds out there because the world neither cares for nor wants them.

That's why all my 30 year old male coworkers show me pictures of their cars, motorcycles, magic the gathering cards etc because they either don't have kids or they are estranged from them.

“I have a very simple rule when it comes to management: hire the best people from your competitors, pay them more than they were earning, and give them bonuses and incentives based on their performance. That’s how you build a first-class operation.”

RE: Outlook on future
I was recently reading about the large number of men in their mid to late twenties still living at home. I saw one statistic stating 36% of adults under age 31 live with their parents. Us millennials should be renamed the Peter Pan generation. I know a handful of guys in their late twenties who live with their parents and feel no shame about it. Hell, my brother even moved back home to save money. He works an entry level office job but doesn't have to pay for rent, utilities, groceries, or pretty much any bills other than his student loans. My parents asked me to move back home to save money after college and I told them I'd rather kill myself. My family is great but I couldn't see myself giving up all the freedom I've gained since 18.

It's becoming a rarity to be a self-sufficient masculine man. I'm glad about that because it will continue to give us an edge in life. Life is hard for me every single day because I push myself to the limits. I went about 15 miles today across state lines on my inline hockey skates just to see if I could do it. I kill myself in the gym and read books at the edge of my reading comprehension. In other words, I manufacture the struggle. Every man of worth does. Those who remain stagnant will be left in the dust.

I think as time goes on we're going to see Aristotle's proposition about humanity's teleological drive proven ever more powerfully. Human beings are purpose-driven. No purpose, no meaningful life, and arguably no 'graduation' into adulthood.

Western society is making it easier and easier to live without purpose, easier to live for short-term pleasure, and most of all, it's making it easier to live for short-term pleasure without any consequences for that behaviour. The birth control pill is the most obvious example, but there are many others.

This, I think, more than economics, is why we are seeing real adulthood being pushed further and further out for most people in the world. We are top of the food chain, we don't have to breed like rabbits to preserve our species above replacement levels, we have no frontiers left, and war -- the biggest purpose-driven exercise humanity can engage in at once -- is now down to a zero-sum game for anything above a regional dispute (read: any nuclear exchange is highly likely to be the first and last such exchange) and when waged at the conventional level is a game for hired professionals (read: all-volunteer armed forces).

I believe that some of the social aspects will be lost and found again.

Going mostly online, means that the next generation will be somewhat "socially retard". Meaning that the following generation will have to "reinvent" social skills.

"I love a fulfilling and sexual relationship. That is why I make the effort to have many of those" - TheMaleBrain
"Now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb." - Spaceballs
"If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine" - Obi-Wan Kenobi

I strongly disagree. This state of affairs may be better for us and high achievers in the short term...but there is a massive societal cost with consequences that we can hardly imagine.

What have the historical consequences been when you have massive class and intelligence stratification? What happens when Marxists rise to power? Usually civil war given enough time. Or - selective targeting of the "more" successful people.

We could see some form of collective backlash against the "successful" and "intellectual" class. Observe the history of the Khmer Rouge in the 1970s within Cambodia.

The entire history of the incident goes beyond the scope of this reply, so I'll try to keep in the context of selective targeting of classes of people.

Essentially, a class based genocide took place where 1 million to 3 million people were killed. The genocide took place as the Marxists in power attempt to create a communist society by rapidly "transforming" the society - and skipping all the intermediate steps to create their classless utopia.

The entire intellectual class of the country was murdered. Even having glasses was considered enough suspicion to be brutally murdered (as having glasses somehow indicated you were of a higher intelligence). As you can also imagine, books were burned on mass and thought crime was brutally punished.

Fast forward to today:

With the current flavor of Marxists in power in the West, I can imagine that "privilege laws" will be passed. They will use a privilege based hierarchy to argue that you only gained your wealth by means of your "maleness" or "testosterone" or "historical heterosexual advantage."

It would not be very difficult for some beta computer nerd to use existing census data with open source financial data to extrapolate who you are. With the stroke of a pen, your assets could be seized, and later you could be forced to take estrogen injections to bring you down the level of the "common humyn" and enjoy your forced equality.

As we are seeing laws passed against alleged "street harassment" and "man-spreading" on public transit - I don't think that my thoughts are out of touch with history, human nature, or current affairs.

Even if state power did not take this angle - we still have the problem of the growing Marxist feminist mob using the the power of decentralized technology. This same mob can easily be turned against the most motivated and intelligent, and that lynch mob can whipped into a homicidal fury. Witness the recent events in Montreal, Canada with the assault on Roosh.

Just a few days ago, the building address where Roosh was staying at was "doxed" and the building was vandalized. With enough righteous fury, public support and a large enough mob, I believe that this university educated mob of marxist feminists would have surrounded his building calling for blood. One of them would have eventually pulled out a match, and declared that the only rational thing do was start a "cleansing fire." It would have been a cleansing fire, and cleansed the soul and spirit of Montreal, as the city was "tainted" by Roosh's "rapey" teachings.

Imagine the frenzied and excited shrieks of the social justice warrior mob, crying into the night...

"Let us cleanse him! After all, Roosh is not even a man! He is a primitive beast, and we have been given societal sanction to cleanse him and his ideas! In fact, we have a divine duty to burn him! If we do not, he will be able to walk out of this building and continue his teachings against our glorious privilege free society!"

These SJW witch hunters would be carrying smart phones in one hand, and a burning torch in another...

I think we should be very, very cautious about wanting a future filled with easy and convenient technology. If the "red pill" forum members here are not wary or arguing for restraint against mass computerization, who will? At what age should our children be allowed access to smart phones? How many hours a day should we allow them access? There are so many unintended consequences that cannot be predicted.

Of course technology should be hard. Actual computing is still a hard problem.

As to the Khmer Rouge and other populist threats the way you protect you interests is you get a dog and you get a rifle. Maybe you get a bunch of sane girls and give them rifles too. If it actually devolves enough to be a fight you win, if you don't you make it clear there was a fight. It won't make it that far though, for the same reason the Khmer happened in Cambodia and not Germany, which is the same reason no one actually practices radical fat acceptance.

-> The people and populism are a myth that the least relevant warm bodies hope to be a thing. Pol Pot before Khmer Rouge for bad won an army first.

Suppose though that a Fatmer rouge appears upon the horizon with all of the hamplanets in the world uniting. A working Mosin Nagant can still be had for about $150. You get 10 scared hot girlies and you arm them because as an alpha lionesses don't scare you or them as much as a scooty puff supremacy movement. No matter what happens next at this point you have already won.
