I felt this merited its own thread - in response to the fat video game characters meme, it appears the notorious misogynistic shitlords of 4chan have decided to use their powers of photoshop wizardry to harass innocent ham planets everywhere by showing them what they might look like if they ate 2500 fewer calories per day for 6 months. I know, right? I mean, who could even think up something so evil?

That may be the most depressing thing I've ever seen. Particularly the photoshopped picture of the blonde in the mall. Girls and women who could be thin if they wanted to, or even just out of courtesy to their fellow human beings, choosing not to.

Maybe this is the right way to go though. That's such powerful image, showing someone who they can be through digital wizardry. They can't see the alternate reality version of themselves that is, in theory, within their reach, but this solves that. Right now 4chan is doing this for trolling value, but they should honestly try and turn it into this inspirational campaign. Have deepcover agents string up banners in Time Square, on the subway with PROJECT INNER BEAUTY above the photoshops. Have Facebookers post directly onto the Facebook wall of fat whales with their thin selves and saying "You can be this person."

As a working commercial photographer I extend the highest of super props -- I consider myself pretty good with the liquify tool, but a few of these well exceed my retouching skills.

It's interesting how I found my eyes immediately drawn to the thinner version of the two photos. Losing weight really does make a person look more attractive.

Even if they lost all that weight the great folds of skin that remain hanging off the body are pretty repulsive.

The slim photo of the last girl in the original post looks a bit like Lauren Southern.
