Ask the Bigot: Why the Daughter of Lesbian Parents is Against Gay Marriage
ABC News - Ask the Bigot: Who is Katy Faust and Why is the Daughter of Lesbian Parents Against Gay Marrage?

First of all, to clear any misconceptions "Ask the Bigot" is the title of her blog, not what ABC named the segment.

I think she may have been mentioned before, but I happened to see Katy Faust on a ABC News interview segment today. I applaud her for stepping up and giving such a good accounting of herself and her defense of traditional marriage.

What resonated most with me was how she was motivated to start writing about her experiences. She thought it unjust how the gay lobby's propaganda misrepresented the desires of the children, who the gays claimed didn't care that they didn't have a mom, or a dad.

Could you lie to help gays sever the links between children and their own biological mothers and fathers, to dishonestly justify gay marriage? That kind of cold calculation and psychopathy is something gays don't hesitate to embrace to push their agenda, without repercussion in our society.

When the interviewer first asked her why she's against gay marriage, she right away explained that her mother was in fact a fantastic mother. But her mother's partner couldn't be a father, something children have always and will always need, and she was acutely aware of that loss.

She ended strong by saying the role of government in even traditional marriage is artificial and sad. That's who homosexuals, are, and to a larger extent all those who worship state power. God is dead, so an artificial god, the composite of millions of other people who have no moral authority over anyone else, must be created to bestow a sense of worth upon them.

The whole thing rings eerily true. Toward the end it turns out she'd been writing anonymously, before a gay activist intentionally outed her. I though in my head, 'of course'.

You can tell by her breathing pattern that she's nervous, but she was remarkably composed. I am moved by her articulate, cogent, and heartfelt advocacy of traditional family structure.

I also got a kick out of her parents experiencing the liberal/gay-equivalent of the Christian pastor raising a religious daughter who becomes a raging whore in highschool and atheist/marxist in college. She grew up to not only not be gay, but she found the church in highschool and is now on national television explaining why it's wrong, while married with a husband who she is raising a kid with. For some reason I find the irony actually breathtaking, like art.

And ABC News should be applauded for giving her a platform. The interviewer was polite, interrupted her minimally, and treated her fairly. I hope they get a lot of traffic to boost their ratings. If they do, it'll signal that the standardized mainstream agenda of alternating between shitting on traditional society, white straight men, then all straight men, is starting to bore people. That in turn will encourage ABC and other networks to start giving voices to traditionalists.

Her blog: http://askthebigot.com/who-is-this-christian-bigot/

-- This is getting long, but we all know the sad truth of what is to come. The whole wretched lot of the left monstrosity - thousands of people on Facebook, on college campuses, in whatever taxpayer-funded will watch this at some point, and come to this realization: "This woman only grew up to oppose gay marriage because of peer pressure. Most of her classmates and friends all had a father and a mother... Obviously having a father and a mother is evil, we must redouble our efforts to abolish this even more. So the next step is to create even more gay families, ramp up the divorces so that it becomes less normalized to have normal families. So there are entire school districts of nothing but gay couples, who have children guaranteed to be gay, and there is peer pressure to be gay instead of straight." There will be no more hope for escape for girls like Faust (crazy last name btw).

But the optimist in me hopes that this is a tiny spark that will lead to a greater pushback to save our culture.

Hope is not lost.

It seems that younger generations, regardless of political stance are becoming more pro-life.

If I were to take a more cynical stance. Its probably not only because of better persuasion. But that abortion is by definition making extinct a set of genes that lead to personalities that endorse abortion.

Glad to see people reappropriating these terms.

"Bigot" "Sexist" etc. are becoming so over-used that people need to stop being afraid of them, agree and amplify, and just crush the power these words have.

The whole function of these words is what Orwell calls "crimestop". You hear or think these words, and your brain shuts off. Someone has a good argument against feminism? "Sexist!" Everyone shuts up and condemns the anti-feminist person. Thought stops, analysis stops, and thus entire ranges of thought are completely absent from most people's mind because they have blocked off any thoughts that might classify as "bigoted".

Cosigned. The best counter tactic to leftist power-words is exactly this.
"Racist!". "Yes. Very much so. I actually prefer the term 'super racist' to describe the level of racism that I do."
"Sexist!". "Yes. Actually I'm the biggest sexist in the whole country. I produce very large quantities of sexism."
"Bigot!". "Yes. I am so bigoted that I have yet to accept that the earth is round."

Then in each case, follow up with something like: "Now we've got that out of the way, can we have an intellectual discussion? or are you incapable of that?".

Then if they repeat, you repeat. If they say "well there's no point arguing with an X then", you just go into your substantive points without responding. And as always, end every exchange with a direct attack on their morality.

I just don't bother with these types in real life.

If they're friends of mine and they are liberals, I just focus on limited issues and try to get them to see my way on one small point. Eventually I hope building up enough background knowledge to justify crime-think will make them amenable to it, but I know it's only a small portion of people who are capable of this.

I knew someone posted something similar prior.

I was out drinking one night with some friends and ended up arguing with a feminist. The bartender was eavesdropping on our back and forth. She called me a sexist. I responded:

The bartender burst out laughing. Chick didn't get the joke.
