Ill be heading home on Sunday, and I am posting my plans/ a data sheet with the information I plan to use before heading to Hongkong.

1. Basic Information about the city:-

Cosmopolitan city, immigrants and tourists from all walks of life.

Hong Kong (Lit: fragrant harbour) is an island surrounded by water. It goes without saying that ferries are commonplace, the MTR (metro) has underwater tunnels which will get you to most places. Other forms of transport include taxis, trams and buses.

The country is called Hongkong but in reality, Hongkong is just a small island off the coast of China. Across the sea lies Kowloon, Tsim Tsar Tsui and the New Terretories.

Tsim Tsar Tsui and Kowloon are large residential areas with shopping centres and all the other amenities Hongkong has to offer.

New terretories are also residential areas, but a large portion of the New Terretories are not very developed and are used mainly for hiking and industrial industries.

2. The women

The women fall into several categories

- Tourists
- ABCs
- Locals who only go out with chinese guys
- Locals who only go out with western men
- Locals who go out with both western and chinese men. (Usally the ABCs)
- Daughters of Expats (International school kids)
- Girls on student exchange
- Macau residents working in HK
- Mainlanders
- Taiwanese
- Filipinos or Indonesians (Undersirables as the locals call them, most work as maids)
- Expats

2.1 Pipelining

Been using okcupid and will use tinder once I get to HK (stupid fake gps app doesn’t work on my phone)

Pipelining will not work with mainlanders and the locals if you cannot speak mandarin or Cantonese. A lot of openers you use on Anglo women will not be understood. Also, building rapport so as to be able to ask them out will prove difficult.

If you are white, your best bet will be with the Expats/ Students on exchange/ Expat daughters/ ABCs or Indonesians/Filipinos as the other women will either refuse to interact with you (Many people here are xenophobic and even if the girl wants some white meat, she might not necessarily want to risk “face” being out in public with you.

2.2 Day game

Do not attempt day game out on the streets. Theres always water leaking from the aircon vents, and people on the streets walk very fast and do not bother to stop for you. Also, the streets are very narrow/ the pavements are not paved very well (missing bricks/tiles). Moreover, there are many pickpockets in HK, so people tend to have their guard up most of the time. If you have to open a girl on the street, I would suggest you do so while waiting for the light to change; ask for directions etc…

2.2.1 Possible daygame locations


If you want to day game, I advice you to do so in the malls. Hongkong has a surplus of shopping malls, so while you’re out buying something, use your time wisely. Starbucks is an option too. The MTR could be a good daygame location when its not peak hour. The ferry terminals are in my opinion the best place to daygame; sea breeze and hongkong skyline; you might even be able to turn this into an instant date.

In hk, there are many “tea restaurants” “Cah Chan Tang” where the menus are in traditional chinese.

If you speak chinese, use the “I cant read traditional chinese” line.

If you don’t speak chinese, just ask the girl to translate the menu for you (You can make a joke that you don’t think the waiter will give you dog meat instead.)

If this is the first time you’re in HK, and you plan on doing some sightseeing, by all means open the tourists as well.

The possibilities are endless really, just remember to not daygame on the street.

2.3 Nightgame

LKF is the main clubbing area. Dress to impress, some clubs have face control.

Some clubs i recommend:-


magnum, volar, bungalow, dragon-i, stormies, the china bar,la bodega, marlin, and insomia. Standard club game applies.

Post up by the 7-11, use cigeratte game, avoid groups which have both asian and western women; most of the time, they are kids who go to international schools, very cliquey and most of the time underaged.

2.4 Couchsurfing

Self explanatory. Look for travellers travelling alone, or female host willing to host you.

3. Logistics

Stay near the clubbing area. Wanchai or central.

Ill post more info if I think of anything else before I leave, and will be updating this thread during my trip.

4. Other points to take note of

The local women are generally not very promiscious and will take time to "crack" so to speak, I cannot stress how important it is to screen for girls who are DTF.

If you can, find a location thats near the sea and near LKF. You can take the girl out for drinks, a stroll by the sea then back to yours. Alternatively, when you do night game, you can proceed directly from the club without taking a cab.

is an odd statement and since you're apparently a local born/raised abroad you're not in the best position to make these claims either.

HK girls like white guys perfectly fine unless you're going for the most local of the local, but those will not even go to LKF once in their life anyway.

The best results I ever had in HK came from clubs considered "local", like Billion (now closed, sadly), Beijing etc. There are (or used to be) a number of REALLY local clubs around TST that as an expat you will never hear about or go to, so they don't matter anyway.

"Losing face by going out with you" - this is 2015, man. Maybe you'll get some odd looks by old people if you hang around as a white-local couple in some NT village, but generally people are long used to pairings like this by now.

I don't intend this to sound rude, but I'll be rather blunt here.

Yes I was raised overseas but my roots are in hongkong; I spent half my half in hk and I still have hk friends on fb, I hAve hk hk friends and international school friends and the former almost always exclusively date Chinese/ other Asian men.

Notice how many ABCs in the states/ other Anglo countries also almost always exclusively date guys form their own race/ culture?

Your BEST bet (if you are short on time and want to utilize your time in the most productive way) will be to not go for the local local cantonese FOB women. If you want to try your luck, by all means do so and report back here with your results.

Yes this is 2015, but the local local hongkee women who've lived in hongkong all their lives have limited interactions with westerners if you discount tourists/ work colleagues. Yes, we can make the argument of eating the "forbidden fruit" but many Chinese women are not risk takers and they will not risk being called a "western sausage eater" just to eat the forbidden fruit. Even if you do manage to secure a date with local local, remember what I said about the girls here being prudish?

Again I mean this in the most respectful way possible, but this is what I've observed on my travels and interactions with the locals.

That being said, this might sound like a oxymoron but I believe that with strong game you can overcome any odds that are stacked against you (to a certain degree), with abit of luck and the right circumstances.

OK so how "local" are we talking here really? Right now this really seems to come down to semantics. Sure as a white guy you likely won't get a date with some wallflower from Tin Shui Wai that helps out at her mother's fruit and veg store during the day and can barely speak English. But who cares about that really?

Point is that as a white guy, you can have plenty of success going to LKF or doing online game and meet local girls (and by that I don't mean local girls from international schools either). These are local girls often studying at more local 2nd tier unis like PolyU or CityU, with mostly local friends, that may or may not have had white dick before - some of them will be obvious foreigner chasers and some of them will not be. These are girls that given the right situation and guy will also go home with you on the same night, albeit sure, sometimes they will be uncomfortable doing so in front of their friends (and that holds true for the whole of Asia and is another matter, really).

These kinds of hookups between locals and white guys are completely normal in HK and nobody bats an eye at them. Yeah there are some xenophobic, jealous virgin trolls at places like HKGolden or the perpetually passive local club orbiter creeps that give you the impression every local girl with a white guy is secretly slut shamed and may give you the stink eye every now and then. But overall that's irrelevant to you as the white guy and girls don't care either - this isn't about marriage after all.

If you're white, decent looking and with a minimum of game, getting laid in LKF with a local girl is, on the whole, easy. I spent nearly four years studying and working in HK with a mix of local and international friends and I feel reasonably qualified to say so. Thanks to HK having higher quality expats and Western cultural influence, as a white foreigner I also feel a lot more comfortable and welcome going out at night in HK than here in Taiwan.

For the sake of brevity let's talk about girls you have to go on a date with rather than club sluts.

Yes I agree that there are foreign chasers and girls who will only date Asian men.

Let's assume that the foreign chasers are all local women.

The foreign chasers could be first time foreign chasers or seasoned foreign chasers, so to speak. For arguments sake we'll agree that you'll not have much difficulty with the seasoned ones

First time foreign chasers; they don't know how the game works, they're used to meeting guys from their social circle and going through the whole courtship ritual. Yes, they want white dick, but how certain are you that they won't get cold feet when push comes to shove?

Going back to my earlier point about avoiding local locals if you're a western guy; you differentiate between the local locals and ABCs from the way they talk, correct?

How can you differentiate if someone is a first time foreign chaser, or a seasoned foreign chaser? You may argue that there are tell take signs such as the way she dresses, whether she tried to imitate an Anglo accent when speaking English, receptiveness towards you etc... But at the end of the day, unless you specifically ask "how many western guys have you dated" or she tells you without you asking, there's no sure fire way to tell if she is a first time foreign chaser or a seasoned one.

It begs to ask, would it be worth while for you to pursue a first time foreign chaser if you have limited time in hk? Or would it be wiser to go after women who are known to be more promiscuous/ will put out I.e the ABCs/ other women I mentioned.

I think you're really overthinking it and making the issue more complicated than it really needs to be. I stand by my point that as a well put together white guy, you'll have no issue dating girls and getting them to put out, no matter whether they're club sluts or more conservative. I did assume that you will be mainly meeting girls in LKF, TST or other westernized spots, or using Western-slanted online platforms like Tinder, Skout, OKCupid etc. The average girl from these locations will have had the occasional white boyfriend or one-night stand, but how "seasoned" she is really doesn't matter all that much.

Assuming that you have a decent amount of game you can then figure out pretty quickly how down a girl is (and with the above qualifiers, she is more likely to be than not). If she appears not to be, just move on, plenty of fish in the sea. A girl that you meet in LKF but is not willing to go home with you due to friends / logistics / etc. will be willing to bang you on a second date 90% of the time.

ABCs tend to be bitchy and entitled with a massive superiority complex while the Indonesians and Filipinas are 99% ugly and desperate green card seekers. So personally would advise to stay away from those. But YMMV.

Perhaps you're right, I tend to overthink many things, but I mean well.

ABCs yes they are entitled, but if you pass all their shit tests they can be easier than the local girls.

I have limited time in hk; rediscovering my roots and hiking take priority over getting laid, as I won't be back for many years, which explains why my strategy is different from yours and why I am avoiding local locals and solely going for ABCs/ tourists/ expats even though I consider myself a local.

I plan to hit LKF on wed, fri and sat. Rest of the time I'll be running daygame while shopping for things I need/ exploring the city I grew up in. If I have time to squeeze in dates, I'll do that.

I did use okcupid and have 4 girls prescreneed so far, just need to figure out the logistics and venue.

Nope, it works on my iPhone as well and it's not jail broken.

The only small downside is that it costs 10 € or so (one-time payment), but I personally found this to be a good investment overall.

Bonfire also let's you like 200 profiles at once and stuff like that so you get more matches in a shorter amount of time without actually having to swipe like a loco.

I wouldn't attempt day game because HK people are high shutting career driven inpatient stress heads, not because of pick pockets and leaky AC units.

With that being said, don't mistake standoffisness with rudeness. A few jokes in and a few compliments on their English and they will love it. Most HKers are very insecure about their English

I'm a bit curious about this though :

Yes they speak English, but not Anglo style English, so a lot of sarcasm and witticism will not be understoord.

You might also find it frustrating, communicating with them, having to speak slowly, not being able to be ironic etc.

If I do game the local women I plan on doing it in purely cantonese.
