They were after the pics were shown.

I expect no quarter.

You want to know the only thing you can assume about a broken down old man? It's that he's a survivor.

Context is everything, right?

This was a person that, not 30 minutes earlier, was threatening to destroy a man's livelihood--and had the audacity to dangle the power she wielded over him in a community where he can't come and defend himself. Opening that account and writing that wall of text required a level of premeditation. She had time to change her mind. That's a subtle wickedness only a woman is capable of.

So giving the would-be bully a taste of her own medicine is more an act of human "compassion," not secretly running to comfort a girl who's just been revealed to be bangable and probably a dynamo in the sack. To make matters worse, her major struggle was the simple declaration that she's "depressed."

That's thirst, at best, white-knighting, at worst.

For me it's about both of us getting what we want. I'm always most satisfied when I can gently release a girl back into the pond knowing that she went away a little bit better person

Nah dude... By contrast, look at how dumb newbies are treated around here.
Not even saying they don't deserve it. Tough love.

If some guy made a post lamenting how lonely he was after getting dumped by his girlfriend, and how depressed he was about the state of his life and modern women, how many PM's would he get tenderly telling him they're "pained" to hear he feels that way. For fuck's sake...

A mentally unstable 6/10 attention whore stumbles onto this forum, threating to out/dox some ex member, and guys are PMing her support and E-hugs. You've got to be shitting me.

I come to RVF to be free of this shit.

Respect to Reno for being honest and I'm not trying to pick on him or single him out (in fact I'd bet money his PM was far from the worst of the bunch), and I've certainly done and said dumb things around here myself, but man does the idea of this rub me the wrong way.

For contrast, this is how a non-white-knight exchange looks like.

No "kiddo" or "buck up" or "it takes more muscles to frown than to smile."

It's times like this that I'm thankful that I'm the guy keeping my eye on this place. Guys complain, but pick your poison: a secret white-knight who folds up like a lawn chair the moment a 6.5 has a mini "crisis," or a Dick Cheney who only sleeps 90 minutes a night and will torture your enemies trying to do you harm, regardless of what they look like.

Agreed, after her initial tirade to rag on the guy she was dating lost traction and then she turned on the forum in general and was subsequently knocked down on that it became "I can't help it I'm depressed" which has also probably been "I didn't mean it I was drunk" at other times in her life.

I have a genuine level of respect for someone that can just straight up apologize with "I was out of line" etc. Male of Female. The OP was a girl, being a girl....malicious she can make a blindsided attack, a victim when she needs to play defense.

Like Chun Li in bloodsport, she will mercilessly break the bones of weaker opponents and cheat by throwing dust in the eyes of stronger ones. There are no rules for her and the majority of women, everything is situational self interest. The end justifies the means.

Not with their actual usernames. Reno himself came out and admitted to being one of them. Doing so took a lot of guts.

No sympathy for the hoe, though. None whatsoever.

Agreed. Reno admitted to the crime and didn't try to sugarcoat. He even confessed to sending his messages after the picture release. While this doesn't erase the repulsivenes of the act, as men, we tip our hats to the courage and self-awareness. Women would never be able to see past the "betrayal," or other melodramatic word.

If you do a close reading of the thread, you can get some sense of some of the white knights who didn't come forward.

We would never know about Reno's PM if the hoe didn't brag about all the sympathetic PMs she was getting.

Hoes ain't loyal and will throw you under the bus in order to humble brag or otherwise build them self up at the WK expense.

No hate from me towards Reno. Most of us have WK in our past. We need to make this a learning experience though.

RE: I dated a PUA--Should I expose him?
We already consoled her on the thread. Granted it was done in a direct manner.

So guys that further tried to console her through PMs gave her extraneous attention she did not earn. It's not easy to see that when a woman is playing the victim. Since not everyone has the ability to see this victimization and recognize it, I don't blame all these members for sending her PMs. It's the same in the real world when we see a girl crying, we may automatically side with her because she has emotionally tangled us. Shit like "he doesn't deserve you."

I especially can't hate on Reno since he is the only one that has the integrity to come forth.

This whole piece of the thread goes into the difference, often stark, between guys here that are truly men that experienced the world and see it for what it is and semi-masculine men that rely on theories (that WE ourselves created) to help them understand women. The latter set of men fail to see where the theories intertwine with reality. It's just hard to grasp without experience.

I think it's funny but I have met both kinds off the forum and both approach women. The latter may even do more approaches but have a much harder time doing it or don't do it effectively.

All ties to my preaching about inner game from there.

When will dudes learn, she isn't your friend, even if she's crying on your shoulder (forum).

She's using you to her own means (venting and comfort) and she'll sell you out in a second (saying she got messages from RVF'ers).

To be honest, I don't see it to be the end of the world to show someone a little compassion, as long as it doesn't become something where the guy is hoping to get something out of it, or the chick turns it into a constant whine-a-thon.

Fuck, you hit the nail on the head with this one

I think it is just how they present it. Remember EpicBeta's thread? Guys were supportive, I reached out to him. Even met up a couple of times and helped out on a side project. There have been other guys who were new and have gotten some support. Not all newbs get shit on. Just ones that don't know how to behave. You can spill your sad story without being shit on if you just be sincere about it.

She jumped in here being cunty and victimy, so she got clowned, in particular by me, I said some pretty vicious things. It is how someone presents oneself and understands the situation that drives how they get treated. You can't come into our house and take a dump in our living room.

But I do hear you, women do get the benefit of the doubt more than men. And seriously, no one has had a moment of weakness and been kind to someone? Is everyone that perfect?

Did you bozos seriously give this stupid clam this much attention and validation? I get the trolling, sad I missed it tbqh, but sweet cream on an ice cream sandwich; pm'ing this clam to actually talk? That kinda shit is unacceptable! I hope those that did feel ashamed and get their asses out to the bar tonight to quench that desert thirst.

My guide for newbies to RVF.
