To be honest, I wouldn't have bothered posting about this had it been written by some girl. "Ew, icky guy stuff! LAAAME!!!". However, this was written by a man. A man who is absolutely disgusted by masculinity, in any way, shape, or form. The amount of disdain he has for it is truly astounding, and it pores through every word of his review. As far as I can tell, it seems to be his only issue with this film. This man hates himself for being who he is, and he expresses that by hating manifestations of masculinity.

I really, really have no possible response for men who write articles critiquing masculinity (behold doughy mangina and end-stage gaypedoface sufferer Todd VanderWerff here talking about Soundgarden's Superunknown).

...Especially when while outside of one end of their mouths they say shit like this, but the other side they hold women to no standards whatsoever (because expecting women to behave a certain way is oppressive!). Much like fat women rationalize their fatness with 'I can get dick any time I want! why should I lose weight!?', these 'men' are rationalizing their lack of a penis by criticizing all penises.

The Internet is for finding and accessing information, communicating with people and (naturally) for getting free movies, music and pornography - it's not your therapist.

SO...it's okay for women to be fat, sleep with hordes of men, act out their drama in public and lack any useful feminine skills...but men have to 'be careful' with our masculinity. 'There's too much masculinity happening here! If we aren't careful someone will invent the next Google, major medical breakthrough or scientific theorem!'

But of course the next time some lunatic shoots up a school or a movie theater, these same people will bitch and moan about why no men were around to take the fucker out. Their answer so that 'this never happens again...' is not unity and teaching us that we should stick together and value our innate traits, but more divisiveness and male-shaming (also suggestions about gun control - and IMO it's not gay marriage or unemployment that will tip America into civil war - it'll be gun control).

The entire narrative of 'Masculinity = evil, Femininity = Oppressive!' that they show runs completely in line with the desire to completely destroy gender roles and embrace a Brave New World-esque society where decadence flourishes and people can just happily float on in a blissful judgment-free zone, totally ignorant and ambivalent to whatever sinister shit the government is up to. All this shit (not just the TPP - also the Iran nuke deal) conveniently slips through as everyone in the West is obsessed with whatever Bruce Jenner turned itself into and gay marriage.

Shout out to trannies - because they are the only ones that make it ok for the super left wing to accept traditional masculinity and femininity.
