It is important that you do not confuse agreement with herd mentality.
Think about it like this; The founders of the USA were in agreement that they should be their own nation. Can you call this herd mentality?

Herd mentality is mindless following, without checking facts, because others are doing the same. Can you say that this forum blindly follows some unwritten law on how to behave?

Of course there may be some men who just want to be ''part of the club'', but can you say that the this forum lacks divergent thought? just look at the WYB thread! There was even a discussion over eating meat!

Now on one thing, I do agree with the putin thing, but it has its roots because the way putin seems to give the powers that be the finger.

One more thing; the reason why this forum agrees on many of those points is because of the facts that back up each argument. you have been here for two years, are you saying that you have never seen any discussion on single parents vs both parents?

I'll add one point though: acceptance of pedophilia. After the whole gay marriage legalization, there have been a lot of forum members saying that incest, beastiality, and pedophilia are next. While I agree with the first two, pedophilia will never be okay in the eyes of the left.

Any feminist I know would shudder if I ever told them that I bang 17 year olds (I'm 21 and in Canada, perfectly legal ). There'd be no way to pass a law that legalizes homosexual or older woman-younger boy pedophilia while not allowing older man-younger girl pedophilia. Even the social justice mob doesn't have THAT much influence

Example of herd mentality: Someone could say in any thread regarding a carousel rider, "Send her to Dubai", that may equal a rep point plus about 15 likes at once.

Overall, there's simply too many variables that end up in complete agreeance, and any opposing viewpoint is simply used as reinforcement of the herd mentality (we're all so right, you're so wrong). I partially started this thread to illustrate that. If I get banned, I don't care, this place is basically right-wing SJW these days and that won't be changing anytime soon. Someone cue up Hillary doomsday thread #1,934.

The WYB thread is like saying "I prefer stuffed crust pizza to regular crust". Not really divergence. I'm also not championing or promoting divergence - I'm only saying the manosphere has become it's very own distinct hivemind.

I agree wholeheartedly with the bit about tattoos and MILFs, I have a mild fetish for both. Members who've gamed with me down in Colombia can testify to that.

I'm not really sure what the core manosphere beliefs are though, I'm a travel and game focused sort of RVFer. These seem more like personal preferences.

I think it's pretty good people here really are coalescing around a broad set of beliefs. Having a group that is capable of action requires people be dedicated to that group and buy it's tenets. Herd mentality means you're down for the cause.

I do think it's interesting how different players in the "alt-right" (can't think of a better name for the anti-progressives) have naturally started to converge toward similar viewpoints, just in the last year or two. The major forums, blogs, and comments are all starting to have similar mindsets about things.

There is something starting here. I don't consider it a hivemind anymore than I would consider the enlightenment or industrial revolution a hivemind. It's the aggregate actions of independent actors put into the same environment and coming to similar conclusions.

It's convergent evolution.

Calling this a meltdown is laughable. All he's done is state some opinions, some of which are being misinterpreted or misread, probably because you're in such a rush to attack him.

He said the thing about women over 30. What he said was that just because a woman is over 30, if she is sexy then you should still bang her (obvious logic).
