I don't get why people parade the Confederate flag. I mean they lost. It's equivalent to someone wearing a 2015 Cleveland Cavaliers NBA champions t-shirt, you just look stupid.

Many defeated people still fly their flag in resistance to their conquerors.

Ireland, Kurdistan, Catalonia, Scotland, Basque Country, etc.

All throughout the world there are parts of countries that would like to be independent but don't have the military/economic/political strength to actually pull it off. Doesn't change the people's sentiments to express their desires to be independent of their government. An unofficial flag is one of many ways to show this sentiment.

I figured this would happen (the parades not the wrecks). I see pickups flying rebel flags around here alot more since this charleston stuff. All it did was create a bigger divide between people that didn't like each other already

I've seen feminists and SJWs suggest just that. I didn't even know about Stone Mountain, or if I did I had forgot about it. I kind of hope they do something like that.

I would have a field day pointing out how they now really aren't any different than Taliban or ISIS soldiers destroying art work.
