RE: Supreme Court legalizes gay marriage in the United States
Courts should not cave to public trends/movements... five Supreme Court Justices suddenly have decided that for 135 years the constitution has been violated, something no one would have dared argue 50 years ago. This is proof in and of itself that changes in the opinion of the populace can create change through the American democratic process (and was doing so all over the country before this ruling). The High Court should transcend changes in demographics, public opinion, and the like. It should remain an admirable constant amongst the myriad changing variables of American society. Just because the American people have become more tolerant, accepting, and open with regards to homosexuality and specifically same-sex marriage does not mean that suddenly a "human right" of marriage for gays is created, acknowledged, and therefore said to have been violated for 135 years. "Rights" don't work that way... it is not the role of the Supreme Court, or any part of the government to create, grant, take away, or have any transactional interactions with a "human right", specifically those that would have been laughed out of court 50 years ago. Gays were making tremendous progress throughout the U.S., and the Supreme Court should not have even had to deal with this law. Now, all that progress has been handed to them in the form of a faux-human right created by 55% of one branch of government.
I respectfully dissent.

RE: Supreme Court legalizes gay marriage in the United States
Without getting into some giant discussion about different factions of Jews and such, it's safe to say that the homosexual activists and the people who push their degeneracy hate traditional religion and culture. That includes fundamentalist Christianity, Judaism and Islam.
In countries with more tribalistic people who embrace conservative religion, homosexuality is unlikely to ever be promoted to the degree it is in the Western democracies which have embraced nihilism and cultural relativism. It exists but they're not going to be legalizing and promoting gay marriage -- ever. For instance, there will never come a day when Saudi Arabia legalizes gay marriage. Nor will Israel.
One of the many errors of the atheists is that since they don't believe in the supernatural they tend to assume there is no value at all to be found in the holy books. The people back then weren't complete fools. They wrote about the things they saw and when they occasionally saw rampant homosexuality in practice they soon witnessed with their own eyes the sort of destruction it brought to the societies it overtook. In the modern day you can see this is true. Look at the sexual disease rates. Look at how they convert children to be like them. Look at their hyper-consumerism. All they are concerned with are themselves.
If you believe that they're harmless and what they're doing does not effect you, you may be right. But you also reveal your short-sightedness or, potentially, your own selfishness. What they do affects society as a whole negatively. This is the huge blind spot many libertarian individualists have and one libertines don't give a shit about.

RE: Supreme Court legalizes gay marriage in the United States
For those of you claiming that this ruling on gay marriage doesn't affect you, so why care, you are missing the bigger picture.
Others have already articulated it well within this thread. I'll add by posting this statement attributed to Martin Niemöller, about about the cowardice of German intellectuals following the Nazis' rise to power and the subsequent purging of their chosen targets, group after group.
Quote:They first came for the Communists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me
and by that time no one was left to speak up.

Ahem...
Straight from Haaretz:

Quote:Israelis are ready to follow Ireland's lead and legalize gay marriage
The recognition of LGBT rights is the political norm in 2015 Israel, and the public is largely ready to move forward on pro-LGBT legislation and equal rights for the community.

It will come. Even now both the broad acceptance as well as the legal rights of same-sex couples are x-times higher than in most Eastern EU countries - acceptance of marriages when undertaken legally in other countries, rights of adoption etc.
It's just a matter of time - will happen before 2020.
Maybe it will and I'm wrong but that article really didn't back up its assertions with any hard data, as noted by commenter Daniel Rosenthal.

So you've got, say, two "married" men or two "married" women.
How will the Courts decide who gets what? Is one going to pay alimony or support to another?
Usually the decision is very easy for them: if you're the man, you get screwed, no matter what. But what are they going to do now?
My prediction:
If there are two gay males, the government will screw BOTH of them. Because they're men, and naturally they deserve it, just by being men. The government will make them both pay the government.
If there are two gay females, the government will GIVE them BOTH benefits. And you, the public, will have to pay for it. The government will REWARD them, because they're women.
The requirements of gender-based ideological imperatives will override everything else.
My prediction: The judge will decide (perhaps unconsciously) which of the two gaymates is the "husband" and which is the wife. One will have a more masculine or assertive role, the other a more feminine or subservient role. The judge will then punish the "husband" and reward the "wife."
I think they will measure the dilation of each faggot's arsehole. The one with the widest bumhole will be determined to be the "wife" and take home most of the money.

This is a great illustration of how so many “normal” people became cogs in the wheel of the reigns of communism & Nazism.

RE: Supreme Court legalizes gay marriage in the United States
I continue to have this feeling that I'm fucking insane. So is everyone else around here. When I first found the manosphere and this forum, it was a shock. I couldn't believe there was other people that thought like me. Then, I read stuff like this on a site that I frequent. It's not that they disagree with his (and my own) opinion. The pure thought that they someone could disagree with them is a farce.
Quote:Last Friday, the Supreme Court ruled to recognize same-sex marriages nationwide, much to the delight of a whole lot of people. Except of course, resident crank Justice Antonin Scalia, who wrote a dissent that, from most reasonable folks’ perspective, sounded like nonsense.
In the document, which has now been entered into the annals of history, Scalia uses colorful phrases you have maybe only heard from an old prospector: stuff like “jiggery-pokery” and “pure apple sauce.” “Let us not say things we can never take back ... or even understand,” Stewart responds. Those phrases came right out of the Old Man Dictionary, yes they did. “The crankiness of Scalia’s insults run inverse to his intellectual consistency,” Stewart added, dubbing our nation’s grumpiest grandpappy “the Human Dissentipede.” Watch the full clip below, and then go back to being happy the Supreme Court ruled in favor of marriage equality.
Sometimes I feel like I'm going to be sick. Like I'm legitimately crazy and I have no idea what I'm talking about. But then I read posts here, and I realize no, I can't be. Our points are too well thought out. As a twenty year old, I have a more logical thought process than that of the older typists that populate the mainstream media.
I'm gonna go lie down for a while.

Christ, I'm ready to delete my Facebook account from all the goddamn rainbows in it. I even have family members who have drank the Koolaid.
Ask yourself what you get out of having an account on Facebook. Unless you're selling a product I almost guarantee you will see that it's worthless. It is a medium for a bunch of grandstanding attention whores to express how holy they are for supporting whatever degenerate, suicidal cause is popular in the media.
Take care of those titties for me.
