It was inevitable. We knew there would eventually be gay marriage. If not this year, then a few years later. What's important to keep in mind is that this issue is hardly "behind us" with everyone moving on with their lives. They accomplished jumping the biggest hurdle. Gays will only be even more emboldened in pushing acceptance of their way of life on everyone. The next phase is saturating the culture with homosexuality. More witch hunts for anyone perceived as being anti-gay.

Someone I know from Facebook said blasted that now we have gay marriage it's time to move on to workplace discrimination, transgender and LGBTQ rights for immigrants. And that the fight never stops. This is the mentality we're dealing with when it comes to dedicated SJWs. Their lives mean constant fighting and agitation for one pet cause or another.

This was not a surprise given both the political environment and legal precedent. The justices probably knew in the back of their minds too that even if they ruled against it today, their ruling would be overturned in 20 years or so.

What most disturbed me though was that I saw a televised recording of Obama calling and congratulating the plaintiff. Now, I have remarked before that politics is essentially a tribal function and a way to display status rather than something based on rationality, but the left isn't even trying to hide this anymore beneath a restraining mask. We now have the President of the United States not only acting like some Hollywood celebrity attention whore (he has all throughout his Presidency), but he's now using the law itself as a way to inject political status whoring, when the law should be impartial or at least have the appearance of being above politics. It's very arrogant and disturbing.

Edit: What the fuck? He changed the White House picture to that?

The law means nothing to leftist revolutionaries. It is either an obstacle to be overcome by any means necessary or a cudgel to use against political opponents.

And conservatives are worthless and unable to stop them, because fundamentally they have no fanatical ideology and are either unwilling to go to the same lengths that these revolutionaries are or are too stupid.

How is it that a behavior as destructive as homosexuality is not only accepted and celebrated? The evidence is clear that they spread dangerous sexual disease far more than anyone else and children who grow up in households with them are often subjected to psychological and physical abuse. The stats, figures, and examples should be screamed from the rooftops and brought up at every opportunity but instead they allowed the left to always frame the debate or based their criticisms primarily on tradition and religion. This society cares little for tradition or Christianity and the media that shapes public opinion certainly hates both.

It's just occurred to me: what we really need is "gay residency" to accompany gay marriage and other gay privileges. That way, homo wonderlands can draw all the poofters away from the rest of the world. By allowing them all to drain into the world's new social waste receptacles, it would further increase the benefit RVFers get from moving overseas.

It's also only a matter of time before Australia gets fagged too. It's holding out for now under Abbott, but it'll probably only take the next term or two.

I don't think it will take more than 5 years until all western countries are celebrating gay marriage. Not even just the anglosphere, all western countries. The holdouts will be incredibly rare, and probably demonized by leftist forces.

I was tempted to put scare/sarcasm quotes around "celebrating", but it truly is a celebration. Homecoming soldiers and Super Bowl winners don't get the sort of widespread adulation from politicians, media, corporations and celebrities that this ruling recieved.

I just checked my social media feed. Quite proud, I almost got to the bottom without any mention of it. Probably because most of the Westerners I know have been blocked. A leftist statement, like, or picture = block.
Alas though, towards the end the feed was tainted by faggism, once from some American girl, and another from an Asian who can speak fluent English. I'll be lenient this time, they sometimes post interesting stuff.

It is going to happen and most people will be completely surprised when it happens. All it will take is the right spark.
