I've gotten matches but they aren't particularly responsive. No meetups.

It took a massive level of marketing and social engineering for Tinder to take off and become a legit way to date. I don't think this one will do nearly as well. It'll just be something for girls to laugh over while drinking $13 mimosas.

I love this app, and here's why:

There are no "No"s here - you will keep popping up for girls if you "cross paths" with them unless they actually block you. Maybe next time around she's horny, or you have a better picture, etc. In a small town - I swiped through all its tinder girls in a matter of minutes - there is no danger of that here

This is excellent in NYC

My next experiment - run it on a GenyMotion Android emulator (https://www.genymotion.com/) and mess with my GPS position. I will cross paths with the whole city. You should too.

I've been on Happn for a week now. Got 8 hits so far, quality is all decent. All the profiles meet my boner test at least, no fatties or warpigs.

The interesting side effect is that if you leave it on, it gives you ideas about where the quality is. I get hits for certain areas more than others which lets me know where I should be hanging out for better daygame opportunities.

Just downloaded this app and used Fake GPS to move my location to the CBD and switched it to a different part of the CBD every hour or so. This brought up a decent number of girls. More than I see on OKC and POF and much better quality.
Right now I'm using the Tinder tactic of just 'liking' every girl that appears. No matches yet but it's only been a few hours.

I get about a hit every day. Quality is very good, but the pace is slow. If the login stats are accurate, chicks typically log in only every few days, probably when Tinder gets slow.

I've tried sending a couple charms, nothing's happened. I've had 1 match (didn't send a charm), a chick who's an entrepreneur who claims to be on there doing "research, mostly". Uh huh.

One thing I notice is that chicks will suddenly have location as "Over 50 km away". I think this is an indication they didn't match you. One chick got a hit when I was at work. She listed her place of employment, which is a block from my office, and it looks like she's actually working out of her house. But suddenly she's always showing "over 50 km away". Maybe she went out of town, but I've seen a few other chicks profiles do that which makes me think that's the giveaway that she's not a match and you shouldn't waste charms on them.

Same rules apply with pictures. My pictures suck, I need to improve them, but at the moment I'm just playing with the app.

I've been on this app since the start of the week now and gotten 5 matches. Talking to a couple of them. Will see how it goes.

So far I've been "crossing paths" with a dozen or so girls each day. More if I use a fake GPS to move my location to and around the CBD.
I'm heading out this weekend so I'm anticipating "crossing paths" with a large number of girls over the next couple of days.

One thing that is interesting is that the majority of the girls on the app (at least here in Melbourne) are 25+. Lots of 27 - 30 (may be older but I don't have my preference set any higher) year olds but only a handful of sub-25 girls.

I don't know yet. I got the number of one of the girls I've been talking to last night and working to set a date up with her now. Her Happn profile says her age is 30 but she tells me it's actually 28.
If wrong age is a common mistake with this app (it gets it from Facebook I think) then that could explain the skew towards late 20's I'm seeing.

Actually if she *didn't* import from FB, then 30 is the default. That's what I did at first but I decided there was no way I was passing as 30 so I did the import and it found my real age.

I've seen the same thing though. My hits skew a bit higher in age so I think some of it has to do with how she has her own age filters set. You can set your filters in settings, I have mine wide open, but I think if she has her filters set to a narrower range, you'll never match if you're outside her range. For that reason it's probably better to not hook it up to facebook and pretend to be 30.

I think that Happn is a pay app in disguise. Given the levels of female passivity because they don't have to do anything in the Western mating ritual, they are not going to press the heart button often.

This means that if a man is to get his target's attention, he must buy charms.

The women on Happn are of noticeable superior quality than those on Tinder, OKCupid and PoF in descending order or physical respectability.

Update: In the space of a week I have 8 matches after liking every girl that has been displayed to me. I have talked to 2 of them and gotten one girls number, meeting her for a date next week.

Been on this app a couple of weeks.

Getting a few matches, and crossing paths with loads of cuter girls, but not matching them. Managed to get a single number, but am getting nowhere.

Seems to me genuinely attractive girls have so many options it's pure luck if you manage to keep a convo going with one.

I've gotten 16 crushes (matches) from using this app for 2 weeks. Some of them I have unmatched but the rest I have talked to. Gotten one number and a couple of other good prospects but some just haven't responded.

The quality of girls I have seen on this app is high but the matches I have gotten haven't been any better quality than I have gotten from Tinder.

Been on this app since the start of June and gotten 22 matches (more if you count the uggo's I've unmatched) in the first month. Got the number of one and went on a date with her but didn't go anywhere. The rest aren't very responsive and have petered out.

What has been interesting though is that I haven't gotten a single new match since the 27th of June. I haven't changed anything about my profile and I have "crossed paths" with heaps of new girls but haven't matched with one of them.

All in all it's still nothing on Tinder or OKC.

Just want to say the app seems useless in Poland as well, after two weeks of GPS-spoofing and actually transiting around here. Crossing paths, but no matches.

Also echoing the idea that it's a pay app in disguise. Heck, one 32-year old Pole from London that I screenshot for lulz in my thread ( /thread-47239-...pid1058057 ) even says she's basically too "busy" to actually press the heart button, and that you MUST send her a charm for her to even CONSIDER chatting with you.

For all we know, this bitch could actually be a bot!

And that's my real problem with online dating. Granted, it sometimes works okay, but generally, the formula seems to be:
1) Post pics of girls, real or not
2) Have guys generally waste time (ads) and/or money messaging them, but throw 'em a bone once in a while to keep them coming back
3) Profit

I've been using Happn the past few days with a GPS spoofing app to pipeline for my next visit to NYC.

The quality of women on here is superb...at least 70% of the girls I "cross paths" with on Happn, in any NYC neighborhood, are 8+. Age range skews higher than Tinder; not very many 18-24 year olds. Lots of 35+ women but most look like they haven't hit the wall too hard. Almost all are college educated, professional, about 80% white.

I've clicked the "crush" button on probably 300 girls and received a "crush" back from 3. Not a great response rate but better than Tinder has been for me so far.

Of course what matters in the end is, will any of the "crushes" (aka matches) on here translate into a bang. I'm not holding my breath based on the response rate from others on this thread, but Happn is worth a try because it's minimal effort.

Got a first date from this tomorrow, it's an afternoon date, which sort of suits me fine as I have another girl (maybe two if this doesn't work out) for the evening. This app works out quite expensively to get a decent amount of matches, you have to pay for 100-200 charms or whatever the fuck it's called. You get the usual girls who give out their phone numbers and still don't respond once you text them. It's a good idea but I'm not sold on the effectiveness of this thing at all.

The other app I've tried is Bumble. The "female friendly" dating app where women have to start chatting with you first and they have 24 hours. I've had about 10 matches so far, not one girl has said a word. Whoever invented this app is a complete idiot, it will never work. It goes against the very foundation of woman's game of not initiating anything, doing as little as possible and their very facade of acting disinterested which would be broken if they initiate contact.
