Example of siphoning traffic is, say, buying display ads on a high traffic site. They already did all SEO and they are getting visitors that you want to target.

Now, obviously, you are unlikely to make a lot simply buying display ads on huffingtonpost.com. However, there are ways of getting huffingtonpost.com visitors without paying for ads on huffingtonpost.com. Like PPV, for example.

One more tip. Install a virtual machine with Windows. Install some shopping toolbars and other spyware. Disable adblock extension and start mocking around popular sites. See what ads come up and clicks on it. Then investigate offers and landing pages. Pop them into similarweb.com (I mention it here for the second time) to find their traffic sources.

For the people saying SEO is dead.

I was using Google today and a forum member came up for a short tailed keyword. Third search result below Reddit and another website. It doesn't look like he is doing affiliate marketing. It appears he is selling his own products.

I have a friend who does affiliate marketing who created an easy way to make lots of money as he's in mensa. He finds (or buys) domain names that are popular, mistyped but squatted or unsued, he emails the person who owns the domain that he wants to borrow the domain to make some money but he'll split profits 50/50, they agree so they point the domain to his hosting account, he puts lots of affiliate links on it, and the both make lots of money.

I don't know too much about buying traffic. What's a good place to buy so called quality traffic or real people and not bots and what should I expect to pay for traffic?
