So an older Russian woman moved into a condo in a complex near me; she looks like maybe she's in her mid to late 50s. I've talked with her several times for a bit - her English is pretty good and it seems she lived somewhere in the South for a while after moving to the US from St. Petersburg sometime after the fall of communism.

I haven't met many Russian women and I have to say, holy shit, she looks better than the majority of American women 20 years younger than her. She's tall and thin, extremely feminine, wears yoga pants and heels and still looks good in them, laughs and smiles a lot, goes out of her way to engage me in conversation about what's going on in my life when she sees me, and is extremely pleasant to talk to with no bitchy attitude whatsoever. So basically the polar opposite of most American women. She has grey hair of course, but many American women my age or a little older are already nearly as grey anyway.

I'm in my mid 30s and usually American women in this age demographic do absolutely nothing for me, but this woman seems interested and I'm totally thinking about going for it. It's weird. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this though - I've never gone for a woman that much older than myself. What say you?

If a woman in her 50s or whatever can have that effect, I then start imagining what Russian women in my own age group must be like. 20 years ago this neighbor of mine must have looked like a supermodel.

Why do you say that? Ive been visiting Russia on and off for the last past 2 years. I dont see why you keep calling it russian hell? Every country got its pros and conts. But i really like it there. Ive got more comfortable in Moscow than in L.A for instance.

Living in a country like Russia is different than staying there with some savings or being super-rich. Life isn't so rosy there, when you deal with the infrastructure, corruption, legal system, extremes of wealth and poverty which make many areas highly unsafe if you for example raise a family or plan to travel around more.

Plus there are certain mental patterns of the population that you don't experience after having learned the language well and having talked with enough people. Don't get me wrong here - I love parts of the Russian mentality and their jovial and life-affirming nature, but there is also a dark side and there is plenty of that too.

Of course the place would be different if they never had communism and were all at Western economic levels - they would likely be then like more open and positive Fins. But that hasn't happened.

There is a good reason why the super-rich send their kids abroad for study and work. Sure - if you have massive wealth and want to be a Player, then you can have a lifestyle that puts Dan Bilzerian's one at shame. You can have way younger, more willing and hotter sugar-babes there than Bilzarian's Dubai sponsorettes. You can party hard until your 60s.

But if you crave anything more or have a family, then it becomes a totally different Game.

I have extended family in the Ukraine and a x-times removed cousin of mine was just attacked in her home by 2 burglars. She is a mentally disabled woman in her 40s and lived together with her old decrepit mother and her dog. The attackers smashed in her head, killed the dog, plundered the kitchen for meat and took some 50$ in bounty. The two lived on modest means supplied by other members of our family - just bare minimum being provided to them, but they did not complain. And this was the Western part of the Ukraine. I will spare you the description of the medical treatments they got. Our family pays for a in-home nursing and all medical aid now. Anyone else would have likely died unable to pay for the medical bills.

So it's up to you whether you want to live in a country where men are desperate enough to attack seniors for some meat and a few dollars. I for one prefer a more prosperous society, despite the fact that getting pussy is easier in countries with extreme poverty.
