Sounds like you have an old version of the app. Uninstall it (this won't delete your account) and then head back to the Google Play store and install again for the latest version.

The location button is a location arrow next to the X while you're swiping. Google Tinder Plus to see the screen shots of what the latest version of the app looks like.

I already uninstalled and re-installed it a couple of times, and it's the same thing.

I think you need version 4.0 or higher (apps --> tinder to check) to access all the new features. I'm running 4.0.6 on my Nexus 5 Android and using Tinder Plus.

What version is your on phone?

Yes, you are right. I don't see those buttons on my Tinder screen, which means I'm still using the old version. And I've tried repeatedly to uninstall and re-install it from the Google Play Store, with the same result.
There must be some glitch in the data that keeps making it revert to the old version.

I have a Samsung S6 Galaxy now, which is great, but I used to have an inferior phone (Samsung Rugby) that gave me some problems with the Tinder app. Maybe this is a legacy of that.

So my plan is this: I'm going to purge all the Tinder data out of my phone, delete my account, delete the app from Facebook also, and then re-install the entire thing from ground zero. Total reset.

That should work, I hope.

Try using Bluestacks(android emulator) on your PC, and try to get your tinder plus working on there. It might take something apparently trivial like that to fix the problem.

Good suggestion, LK. I'll try that tonight on my home PC. But damn, this problem is irritating. Tinder was always a bit hosed up on my old Samsung Rugby when I used to have it. I'm guessing there is some bug or glitch in the system that is causing it. The "Help Desk" at Tinder is basically worthless. They just jerk you around and don't do anything useful.

My guess is that a complete purge is in order. I don't mind rewriting my old profile. I don't even care that much if I lose my old contacts.

I have been reading and re-reading Bang a lot lately. I think I have a basic understanding of text game. Is it okay to run this after I have gotten a woman's number on Tinder? Or are there slight differences I need to make?

I use Tinder on my iPad.

You can install the app directly from the iTunes store. You just have to switch a dropdown tab setting after your initial search from 'iPad only' to 'iPhone only.' Using Tinder on iPad has the added bonus of larger photos, which is helpful in sniffing out sifs. QC, if you have an iPad it's worth a try.

I solved the problem of not having the latest Tinder app by deleting everything off my smart phone and deleting the app from Facebook, and then re-loading everything.

That worked. I now have Tinder Plus.

But I got a new problem.

Tinder won't pull over any of my profile photos from Facebook. I can't get any photos on Tinder. I try to click on the boxes to upload photos and it says "photos not found."

Anyone with any ideas on how to solve this? I've tried to install and re-install the app several times and still no photos.

About ready to commit hara-kiri here.

Man, Tinder and your phone don't like each other. This might sound obvious but try logging out of Tinder first, then log out of FB, shut down your phone and then restart it, log back into FB and then into Tinder. I notice when I have issues with it sometimes that sequence works for me.

The app is fairly bugging for how popular it is. I was locked out once for a couple days and then suddenly it started working again.

I just redownloaded Tinder and now I'm having the same issues as QC.

For those with Tinder Plus. I would recommend a fake GPS app for a certain situation I have come across. A lot of girls have latched onto the "swiping in [city]" blue text you see when you use the passport service.

A fake GPS gets around that and they're non the wiser. Just make sure your bullshitting skills are up to par.

I'm having the same problem, and I can't figure out why it's not fixing. I've logged off, uninstalled, removed the app from Facebook, put it back on, done everything.

Tinder won't pull in the Facebook photos.

I even tried to set up an account at Instagram to see if they would use those photos to populate Tinder. They do come across, but not as my actual profile photos. I'm going to try to go to Microcenter to see if I can talk to someone about it.

I'm giving Tinder one last go around this summer. I lucked out and scored a place in the central logistics zone for Toronto (well 4 min walk away haha). I got the bomb ass postal code now and can name drop the bomb ass intersection for DHV.

My focus is purely out of town broads and tourists this summer who don't venture that far away from the downtown that much. So Tinder will be effective in this as I will have my location spoofed to highly dense tourist traps and try to go from there. I just need to get some better pictures going.

If this does not work this summer then the app is forever cast into the waste bin.

Just got the update that integrates instagram. At least it helps to further sniff out SIFs. Unclear if insta game will be expected out of us now. I can't even comprehend what that would mean if it does start to be...

It seems a lot of people are having the same issues as me and QC.

I think it is a bug acquired through the new update. I think we are just some of the unlucky ones that have been screwed by it.

There are reviews listed where people describe how they have deleted and reinstalled and cleared the cache etcetera etcetera. Basically all the steps you would usually do to try and get it going but nothing seems to be working.

Hopefully Tinder will recognise this soon as a problem and we can get an update to fix it.

You boys still doing Tinder?! Surely it's got to be past the point of over-saturation now.

I gave it crack 6 months ago and deleted it after a couple days because of the spambots and just REALLY average women who would agree to meet up with. The quality reduced massively since a 1.5 years ago and I've found good ol' day/night game more bang for buck now.

Tinder was only really effective for the early-adopters IMO.

Unless someone flags another Tinder in the early stages - I would advise putting all your efforts in real-life or use the time to build an internet business instead of chasing these mediocre sluts with shitty social skills.

FFS - I've had 100% more success using couchsurfing in other countries.

I've never gotten shit from Tinder, not even a date. I need to just stop with it and delete for good because it is so worthless.

The last round of delete and re-create I did 2 weeks ago netted me 2 matches so far, a 37 single mom who at least does work out :/ and a likely SIF.

I think I've found a way out of this morass (the failure to upload photos).
1. Completely delete Tinder from cell phone and Facebook.
2. Create a new, second Facebook page with a new login and password. Fill out the new page with bio info, likes, photos, things like that. Wait until you get about 50 friends or so, so that Tinder knows you're a real person.
3. Reinstall Tinder and link it to your new Facebook page. That should override all the glitches. It will be like signing up for the first time.

I'm hoping this should work.

I've banged soo many girls off Tinder I dont see how you so many here are down on the app.... I'm currently in Mexico City/DF have been here since Tuesday and used Tinder too pipeline so far I've banged three girls in three days and am meeting up with a fourth today and she is defintely DTF,its to the point I'm overwhelmed by tinder chics (a good problme to have). Some things I've done that have really increased my mathces is be sure to use really really good pictures, I purposefully picked pictures of me in random different countries and was sure they could notice it (architecture, people, backgrounds) When you begin to run out of women to search cancel the account and begin again from scratch. I suggest using an app like Tindaliker, or Tinerly the do their own GPS spoofing and you can also swipe over a 100 girls at a time and pick the fuckable ones from there. I'm not an ugly man nor am I a male model which meant I had to take a shit load of pictures just to find the right ones, but as a result I've pulled some real gems off of tinder, and the numbers alone are staggering. Do note if your just in a really shitty place, tinder will most likely be really shitty. IE Nashville....

I couldn't manage to get it working on Bluestacks. It gets stuck on loading. If someone manages to load it up please share.
