Likewise game is game, I don't know if a "who cares" attitude is the best thing to call it, perhaps more of a "go with the flow" type of attitude and knowing how to act and react (and most importantly not over react) to certain situations.

I've been an off and on again amateur poker player over the past four years, and the bulk of my success seems to come when I'm just playing for fun and don't feel like I have to get a solid four-figure cash (I'm strictly a tournament player). Likewise, when I've searched for other jobs, work seems to come when I'm not really feeling desparate to get work anywhere I can.

What I took from this is a re-enforcement of my philosophy that if you try to force something that you don't have 100% control over (IE - girls) you're only going to get more frustrated when you are not successful. When you're more frustrated you don't function at your best level, and can make mistakes, like losing your cool, or confidence, etc. Thus the laid back approach probably is helpful. However, you can't be so laid back that you're not approaching and using the proven techniques that I'm sure most of us have read about, and/or had success using. Furthermore, I'm not buying this guy's book.

Good article.

I've been having some good breakthroughs in my game lately, and something along these lines has helped to take my game
to the next level.

I will put my thoughts in writing and do a separate post about it.
