Why This Is Important

With such a high unemployment rate and a terrible economy gambling could be the best thing to come to Florida in decades. It would open jobs in many different ares such a the construction, food services, hospitality, and many many more areas. It would also bring workers to this area thus increasing the need for housing. I also feel we have the perfect setting for legalized gambling. We have all our amusment parks for the family outings during daytime hours then we would have the casinos for the nightime for adults. We would have it all here in Florida. There is no other one thing that could bring so many different openings for jobs and economic support than legalized gambling would in the state. We already have it anyway with the indian casinos. Why hot allow all the floridians to profit from gambling? Is it fair to allow one small part of Floridas vast mixed culture to profit and make giant over the top profits in this industry and yet keep the majority of us unable to join them and get Florida back on it's feet again? Let's do this Florida!

The rooms are nice. Food is good at the buffet and very good at the high end steak house-Council Oak. After that, it's all DOWNHILL. This is a non regulated casino by the state of Florida. Guidelines are set by the Indian Tribal Casino. A joke!!! What this means is that they can do whatever they want to relieve you of your money. I have never seen such tight slot machines anywhere in the US. Winners are rare and perhaps non-existent. Casino is smoky and noisy. I am a blackjack player and they changed the rules several months ago where the dealer hits soft 17 at all the tables except at the $100 minimum bet pit. Being totally unregulated, there is no assurance that they are giving the BJ player full decks of cards to play against. All they have to do is remove several 10 value cards and aces and the player has as much chance of winning at Blackjack as the slot player has in winning in their super tight slot machines! Being unregulated, the Seminoles have been literally given a licence to STEAL. There is a crying need for state regulation as in Nevada and New Jersey otherwise the Seminoles with their numerous casinos throughout Florida will end up with all your money in their pockets. Perhaps this is the Indian revenge against the white man for taking their tribal lands in the 1800's. To top it all, they have the nerve to charge $5 for a drink at the table games and slots. If you are a gambler, RUN do not walk from this casino as you have no chance for a fair game. Go to Vegas, Atlantic City or anywhere else but here!

The Casino is a top notch place to pull quality tail. Since these clowns have no competition they treat you like shit compared to Vegas or Biloxi casinos. Need a room? Nope. Not happening unless you book in advance at around 3 bills a night.

The Seminole tribe owns the whole global Hard Rock franchise. That's how profitable their casinos are.

Some people will gamble and lose all their money: lottery, horses, greyhounds, Jai Alai, poker, casinos, etc. If you legalize it then more people will gamble, but you can try to tax some of it. Florida has the advantage of being a tourist state, so they can try to take tourist dollars. Of course the gambling franchises will be awarded to the politically connected.

Dang, one of my bookies moved to Florida and doesn't want my action.
