RE: Let's talk about style, and your looks to bang girls!
Why do you guys like plaid jackets and jackets with designs? Stick to the basic colours until you build your wardrobe up, the plaid looks terrible like a used car salesman and even they dress better than that.

Look at icons like Steve Mcqueen, his classic style can still be worn today and is timeless. Avoid patterns unless it is on a tie or pocket square. It is better to have a few nice pieces than a closet full of junk. Remember these designers change the styles every year to make money, so don't follow the trend.

For me this year, I am getting a black cashmere sweater and I want a nice car coat.

Steve McQueen is my idol. He's part of the reason why I want to get this jacket:

This is him wearing it at a motorcycle race back in the day:

My reaction to him on the motorcycle:

The day is going to come when I will be blazing down the road on a Triumph motorcycle in that bad boy.

Gonna try to integrate the navy, green and gray shawl cardigan into the wardrobe for the fall and winter. Timeless look.

Also going to diversify the belt game, usually I would only rock a black belt.

I've been wanting a Barbour International too. Almost pulled the trigger last year

I dont own a tuxedo. I have never really needed one, although I have had a few events over the last couple of years where I would have been more comfortable in one.

This year I started looking out for something that both caught my eye and yet would still be considered appropriate evening wear.

I think I have it narrowed down to:

[Image: etro-light-blue-paisley-trim-velvet-blaz..._flex.jpeg]

Or:

These are all Etro.

I dont think I will get the patent shoes. Something about them I just dont really like, but then again I have never even looked at them. Perhaps I am missing something.

Although these caught my eye.

^^What material is the first one? Velvet?

The first jacket looks off to me, maybe its the jeans or the matching lapel to square.

As is, Id choose the 2nd one.

My opinion is that if you are buying super-formal clothes, they should be applicable for super-formal events. The 1st one just doesn't cut it. As a odd-jacket, however, it would look great at night....

Has anyone on here got some advice on where to find high(er) quality v necks? It seems like only cheap places like Primark have them, and I want a few well fitted etc ones for going out. Any suggestions?

Talking about V-necks:
How far deep is too deep?

My v-necks go about 2-3cm below the sternum.

Also, when suiting up or wearing a blazer, do you guys always tuck your shirt?

I always leave the shirt untucked. Just make sure the shirt isn't longer than the blazer.

I recommend the ones from Express. I normally won't wear anything from Express, but their basic tees are the highest quality I've ever found. They cling nicely and the colors go with everything.

To answer wreckingball's question: tuck in the shirt. Get a nice leather belt to match your shoe color and you should be good. If you want to wear an untucked shirt I suggest a cafe racer jacket or a nice cardigan but not a blazer. Like aliblahba said though, fit is key. Make sure the shirt stays around the the mid region of the zipper of the pants, no longer then that for untuck wear.

What do you guys think about blazers which come with a contrast trim. I think one could easily pair it up with jeans but was wondering if this look belongs to someone in high school vs an older gentleman

I 100% agree with this. I'm very tall and relatively lean, making it harder to find shirts that are long enough and cling well enough. Most the time a L or XL will have the right length, but be a bit too loose.

Never an issue with Express. Their button down shirts are also solid for casual outings (BBQs, etc.) and they're inexpensive so I don't care if one gets destroyed here or there.

BUMP!

Let's get some dope threads for winter in here.

I just picked up a pair of these pants:

I'm planning on rocking them to some casual holiday parties, with a white pinpoint oxford button down, fitted blue blazer, and a white linen pocket square. No tie, first two buttons of the oxford undone. I'll probably be rocking them with black loafers like these:

What are y'alls thoughts on this look? And do you have any other ideas of when I could rock these pants?
