as usual, scientists are decades behind what guys like us already know, but I thought this was a cool, straight-forward study illustrating a good rule of thumb for meeting women:

basically if you ALWAYS assume that a woman is into you, you may be wrong sometimes, but you'll never miss an opportunity.

This is opposed to trying to FIGURE OUT if she is or is NOT. If you think she's not interested, and you're wrong, you just missed an opp. Fuck that - assume it always.

The study is incomplete in my opinion. They should have ALSO figured out which guys got laid more - the ones who underestimated, or the ones who overestimated women's interest in them. My money is on the second group.

I've had a lot of women tell me that they weren't really into me, but as they talked to me more, they got turned on by my confidence. To paraphrase one I met in Vegas "I was like, who is this guy? What makes him think he's so great? I wanna find out..."

In these cases, what was happening in my mind was simply assuming she wanted me, otherwise, why would she keep talking to me? So it was kind of a self-perpetuating process.

Good fundamental principle to keep in mind, whether your a vet or newbie.
