A flake buffer would be something like you guys exchange phone numbers when you get her number, so she knows it's you calling.

Another example that roosh stated was you arrange the day of the meet but you call several hours before the meet and you tell her the address where you guys meet.

The reason I'm asking is because when you use a flake buffer I think it makes you look weak. Roissy said something along those lines when he called a chick 4 months later after getting her phone number that he doesn't exchange phone numbers, and he just gets hers.

I don't care for her to get my phone number too, I usually get theirs and that's it. But the fact that I call the day of the date and tell them the address, is it hurting me in the game?

For the first date, have her meet you for drinks at one of your local spots. Tell her to come at 9:30, then you roll in at 9:45 or so. If she flakes, then don't sweat it. Enjoy the night out at your local spot, catch up with friends, and look for other action.

One strike and she's out.

I don't see how any of that shit can actually work, since those are things that most guys do. And since most guys do them, girls already have ways of getting around them. Plus the more you assume a girl isn't really interested, the more reason you give her to lose whatever interest she had.

If you've got plans that require you to go well out of your way, I can understand trying to get some kind of confirmation. Really though, that's just more reason to only make plans with girls that you've established a solid connection.

Why would giving her your number reduce flaking? If she doesn't pick up leave a short message and if she's interested she'll call you back. Alternatively, send her a text and just include "hey [her name] it's [your name]."

I like to reduce flakes by telling her I have a "meeting" that I'm not sure when I'll get out of and I'll hit her up on the day of the date to confirm the time (I like it better than Roosh's anti-flake move because I think it sounds a little contrived to say you'll wait until the day-of to "think of a place" when the place ends up being a simple coffee shop near my apartment). Also, my first-date location is always a 5-minute walk away from my apartment so even in a worst-case scenario where she confirmed the date and still didn't show it wouldn't be a big deal.

I use a flake buffer as a matter of course for most girls.

This number close is an amazing way to screen out flakes. If she’s into you, she will text you. This ensures that girls you get rid of through a number close still have the opportunity to demonstrate their interest to you. If a girl you’ve kissed but refused to venue change or walk outside texts you after getting your number, then I’d say it’s still worth taking her out for a date.

The gist of this move is to give a girl your number, and then have her text you for some reason. Another way I've done this is through a tease, such as:

(I give her my number)
S: So what's my nationality again?
Her: Oh, you think I forgot it that easily, huh?
S: Okay, prove it to me. Text me my nationality.

(30 min later I get a text from her)

(4 days later she's in my bed)

There are other ways I screen for flakes. For example,

1. I'll say to a girl to go write her number down on a napkin at the bar and give it to me.

For her to do this, means she must go to the bar, find a pen, something to write her number on, and then get back to me. That's a lot of effort for her just to give me her number, so I take that as a sign of interest.

2. I wait for her to ask me for my number. If she asks for my number, her chances of flaking are very very low.



I highly recommend all of these strategies.
