I was just contemplating this today because I've been kind of sensitive
about not having a rig while visiting in the States. I'm visiting family, and
they live in a rural area that's hard to get around; not to mention it's the
bud-growing capital of the States and everyone's got a jacked-up truck.
People are very materialistic here.

I remember about 3 months b4 I went to study overseas, I sold a really
nice truck and decided to start ripping a bicycle around town - this at 27
years old (pretty unheard of in this area). It was partly a philisophical
decision, and I was planning to buy a motorcycle when I got back into town.

The point is that it actually improved my game to not have wheels - I think
a key part of it was because I didn't do it due to being broke. It was a
choice, so I wasn't insecure about it (this also made for good
conversation). Some girls would try to heckle for a second, but that just
gave me chance to show how strong my frame was.

Here's the main point I want to make though - logistics.

When I went out on first dates, I'd have the girl come by and pick me up at
my house, which would create an opportunity to have her come in before
we went out. so I could show her that coming in my house didn't
necessarily mean I was going to jump all over her. Then later, when she
dropped me off, it created a prime opportunity to invite her in that might
not have presented itself if we had separate rigs.

When she's already outside your house, coming in for a "second" isn't that
big of a deal. It probably helped that I had a really nice house at the time,
so she could see that I really wasn't rideless just due to being broke.

And there's a satisfying thing about meeting a girl at a bar, stuffing your bike in her
trunk, and then taking her home to stuff your other bicycle in her other
trunk. lol

Like I said, this time around I was getting sensitive about not having wheels
because I've been gone so long and am used to at least having a motorbike
to jump on. Was even considering renting.

But in a text the other day, this girl who lives an hour away from me (this
area is really spread out), said something about hanging out some time. I
haven't seen her in years. I mentioned that I was down but that I didn't
have a rig right now and wasn't very mobile. I was actually feeling a little
sorry for myself and being a little bitch, to be honest.

"Yeah, but I do," is all she said. So looks like I've got a new chaffeur.

This got me thinking about how my game was actually more successful
when I went carless then when I had the nicest truck around, so I
called up an old friend who's still got my bike back in storage, and while I'm
here in the States, I'm back to stuffing bikes in trunks. Certainly nothing to
be ashamed of.

Just thought I'd share it in case any of you other guys are going without
wheels or just taking public transport cause it's easier. Get your money
right, but meanwhile, there's no reason to let it hold you back.

Even if you have a rig, maybe you can capitalize on the improved logistics
by having girls pick you up on the way out. It sure has worked for me.

It might work initially and so you should use it to your advantage. However, it will soon get old if you're dating a girl regularly. This means you'll have to keep several girls in rotation so you are only irregularly dating one at any moment. Wait, that's a good thing....

As an aside, I don't have a car, either. I ride a motorcycle. Oh, and I'm an older gentleman (49) and the lack of a car hasn't been a huge problem. All females seem to dig the motorcycle.

Yeah, I just meant for getting that notch the first time. I personally didn't have any issues with regular girls without a rig either, though. I've also found women will pretty much adjust to your life no matter what if they like you - just my experience.

All that said, dealing with the inconvenience of not having a car on other levels is a personal decision%

I have lived like a refugee at certain times in my life, due to divorce theft, poor economy, etc.

The poorer I was, the better I did with girls.

takes the expectations way down, keeps the options to inexpensive recreation (LOL) and it can even keep chicks from getting too serious about you.

When you live like a stray tomcat, you can find lots of pussy, but they never stick around.

almost any situation can be framed for good game.

Unfortunately, if you live in a rural area you need a car.

You can get around with a bike in a city. But in rural areas you need a car - that's just how it is.

Commutes to work, grocery store, gym, hospital, dates, etc become too time consuming and too much of a hassle on a bike when you're nearest neighbor is 2 miles away and the nearest podunk convenience store is 10 miles away.

It just seems to me that as long as you can afford a car, it is nonsensical to live without one if you live in a remote and secluded place.

One of the hottest girls I dated would pick me up with my bike which I'd have to stuff in her trunk. I had a car but just liked riding everywhere.

Got rid of the ride and am looking forward to the bus. I've seen many a hottie get on board and I've been running way more day game lately anyway.
