interpreting looks from girls
I have always had trouble interpreting those "looks" and "glances" i get from women in various places, resteraunts, bars, class, malls, coffee shops, walking on campus, cars, etc...

I know for myself, if i see a girl that i find attractive, i am looking at her, trying to make eye contact etc... and if i see a girl that i do not find attractive i dont even make eye contact and if we do its merely for a second and i look away and she is completely off my mind.

I never get that "look and smile" that i so often hear about EVER, maybe from fuggos or older women as a courtesy but from chicks that are hot or bangable it is so rare that i get a look and a smile that says hey come and talk to me. usually it is a quick glance than look away, or it is a look without a smile and a look away, maybe a look back etc... which to me is either a "hey come talk to me" look or a "jesus is that guy still staring at me" look. in any case i have trouble with it.

I have talked to a few girlfriends about the looks and they have said various contradicting things so i just dont know. I do know that when i am out with those various girlfriends they will tell me this girl and that girl over there is checking me out etc... but when i look, nothing.

Anybody have any info for me or insight?

Disclaimer: these are not stiff rules.

If she makes an effort to look at you (by turning around, rotating her orientation) and doesn't SNAP back to her previous position like something scared her, she's interested.

If it's longer than .5 seconds, she's interested.

If she looks at you, then quickly down she is interested.

If she looks at you, then quickly to the side she is neutral.

If she looks at you, then quickly up she thinks she's better than you.

If she smiles, you're an idiot to not go in.

RE: interpreting looks from girls
Walking around DC, I've gotten three "eye contact and smile" encounters while on the streets in the past few weeks. Rarely at a bar. I didn't approach, don't know why. Think I was getting off work and just wanted to get home and they were going to the opposite direction. Two were pretty cute. Hindsight is 20/20, I suppose..

I'm a tall, good looking guy and I don't get eye contact and smile that often when I'm out in a decently packed venue. Eye contact a lot, but that doesn't mean anything. I look at ugly girls sometimes with no interest other than critiquing her in my mind.

I've generally found that as your game gets better and you get more interactions under your belt, the facial expressions and looks just become obvious.

I used to suck at interpreting girls faces, but nowadays it's second nature. I still have friends who will be at parties with me and I'll tell them "that girl totally wants you, go chat her up" and they'll tell me they have no idea what I'm talking about and ask how I would know this.

It'll come with time.

Also, Doctor's list generally has held true for me.

try to just practice getting looks and interpreting their body language a la docter's rules.

whenever i walk down the street/to class i'm always looking at other people most of the time they'll make eye contact and do one of the things docter described. if you have the chance talk to the ones who give positive feedback from their body language, and if you see something that isnt on the list talk to them and note the response

I'm confused about this stuff too. I've noticed that recently, as I've been dressing sharper and feeling in a more self-confident mood, that I'll sometimes walk around with a *trace* of a smirk on my face. It's me feeling bad-ass. When I make eye contact with women like this they'll often hold it for a much longer than usual. Unfortunately, I'm not convinced it means they're into my look; it may have more to do with curiosity, because when I occasionally make eye contact with men while in this state I've noticed the same thing (they're almost certainly thinking 'what is this dude feeling smug about?).

Men feel mild threat around other confident men and will pay more attention to you as a result.

Or maybe you live near a lot of gay guys. Or maybe they view the smile as out of the ordinary. Could really be a myriad of things.

RE: interpreting looks from girls
Don't worry so much about what a woman is thinking. Even they don't know what they are thinking most of the time.

If you get solid eye contact, approach. If she looks at you more the once, you are are a fool not to approach. If she smiles at you and you don't approach, consider suicide!

I like this summary as well...

I agree. Assume she is interested and approach, approach, approach! Three out four of my most recent bangs resulted from cold-approach day game scenarios with no or equivocal eye contact. Just go for it.

Bitch shields go up in bars.

I get lots of smiley eyes walking around during the day, almost never at night. Girls get their defenses up when they're on the playing field.

Hm, I actually went the opposite way and adopted a holier than thou attitude by never looking back. I've even turned girls down due to social awkwardness that I rationalized as me being glorious.

Hm, I generally don't care what a girl thinks - but I'll be more mindful about it and start getting laid like a boss.
