I prefer midrange hotels and restaurants, but don't mind eating from street vendors, or eating the breakfast at the hotel. Hostels suck and provides another hurdle in the race to get laid.

From experience I know that the more you spend the more access you gain to a higher class of women. Chasing grungy backpacker girls doesn't appeal to me.

Listen to Chris'n' peter. Dude, you know you're gonna plow through a hundo a day on nonsense. If you go someplace cheaper you're just gonna do more shit and ball bigger. Plan on at least 100 a day for nonsense unless you are working a bit. Idle hands....

$2500 a month probably isn't enough then. If you want to live the good life you're going to have to pay for it.

I think it's very easy to do especially when you stick around in a place for a while. If you're earning as much cash as you state it shouldn't make a big difference if you bump it up to $3500 a month that's only an extra $6000 for six months of travel, not a lot if you're making over 200k.

A good idea if you prefer to stay in hotels is ask them for a monthly rate, you can usually get a good discount. I was offered a great rate recently doing this in a junior suite which worked out at about 1/4 of the regular daily rate.

I always plan responsibility. Then after a few (10) drinks I make new plans.
