I recently went to the doctor and had him look at some issues I was having and he basically told me nothing was wrong with me.

Anyone have medical or dental work recently abroad? I'm fed up with the way health services work in US. I will be traveling to Mexico and Colombia which I've heard good things about but want to hear some other recommendations if I don't find what I'm looking for there. At the very least, help convince me I will actually receive quality care...

Have you considered joining a concierge practice or a direct-pay practice, assuming something like that is nearby to you? Apparently the standard of care and client satisfaction is much higher at those type of practices.

Colombia has excellent medical and dental care......the cost is very cheap....I am insured here with the country's top provider and it's nothing to get check ups or see a quality doctor...or if I am feeling lazy have one come to my house....to take blood samples, or prescribe medication.

I do pay out of pocket for dental care and it's also super cheap. Many of my co-workers here have had relatives come down from abroad to get dental work done at a much cheaper cost....even with the flight money they came out ahead compared to what they would of paid in the states....

Plastic surgery, lasik, and hair replacement procedures are all much more inexpensive here with quality doctors..

Ukraine for Dentistry. Less than a thrird of the cost for the same treatments in the USA. All fully modern clinics, state of the art equipment and well trained dentists.

Many Ukrainians get their teeth done before emmigrating.

Medical though?.....nah.....
