Recently, I've heard about this website. Any of you know if it's legit or if you've had experience with it? If so, is it safe or a scam?

Looks legit. They have a pretty active forum: http://forums.cashcrate.com/

I know a guy who scraped by while he was unemployed by participating in focus groups and surveys. That was through one of the big polling companies.

I'd suggest spending your time elsewhere though. If you work out your hourly compensation for doing those surveys the pay is really shitty. There are better ways to make more money faster.

I imagine you may end up on a lot of spam lists too.
