RE: Charity Event/Volunteer Game
I once did some volunteering at a Children's Hospital.
They told me that the 2nd floor was where all the hot nurses were at, so I got me a gig right there, once a week. The pickings were slim, for the time I actually served, and my game was not that great at the time...
But a little time after, I had a chick over who accidentally discovered that I had volunteered there. I still had the little smock and the badge and shit. I can assure you, my stock went WAY up when she saw that. Of course, I told stories of how intense it was there, etc, emotional highs and lows.
I did not find the overall endeavor to be entirely worthwhile, but I think had I given it more time, it might have gone better. I just didn't have the time.
But even just having the story is pretty damn good.
Sloots gon' sloot.

RE: Charity Event/Volunteer Game
Bump.
Volunteering, Gaming, Self Improvement, Bang
When I lived in NY, used to do Habitat for Humanity in the Bronx. It's actually a great program, it's not a giveaway, people have to work on other people's houses first before they can be eligible to build one of their own.
Basically a bunch of volunteers help a poor family build themselves a house at very low cost. The volunteers are led by a few professional foremen. One great thing is that the foreman are usually top guys - every time I went I learned a few great home improvement and building tips. Worth getting up early on an occasional Saturday just for that.
Now to the women part. I'm not saying that there's dimes working there every time, but there was usually one or two fly girls every time I went. There's no competition, and you've got an automatic opener with every girl there.
I got a bang off a hot black girl I met at one of these projects, and that gave me another idea. When I met a girl some weeks later at a bar, sort of worked into the conversation how I do these projects. She was down to try it, we went a week later, and brought her back to mine to shower afterwards.
Doing good and getting rewarded for it!

RE: Charity Event/Volunteer Game
I guess it can go both ways. Chicks volunteering are likely to be from higher socio-economic classes, and at least a bit smarter than average, but most of the ones I have met are self-righteous bitches. I am sure that there are some who act from truly altruistic motives, or at least to do something decent in a fun social setting, but there seem to be more who pursue volunteering as yet another venue for bragging to their friends, uploading pictures of their good works to Instagram, and other forms of attention whoring.
More often than not, they are giving their time to the feral animals, feral homeless, or whatever, because (1) they are ugly and unsuccessful socially and/or (2) they are incapable of truly bettering themselves so they use the superficial feel-good exercise as escapism and seeking social proof. This is obviously an order of magnitude more true in any feminist-based or celebrity-initiated cause.
Of course there are exceptions -- and kudos to those here who find the niche -- but, let's face it, a nubile hottie in her prime is more likely to be fulfilling her hamster desires at the night club than at the save-the-children-of-Burundi phone-a-thon. Perhaps this is an unfortunate outcome of our decadent culture, but it seems like the reality.
A true charity benefit, where one is donating money as opposed to time, is a somewhat different animal.

RE: Charity Event/Volunteer Game
I recently did a bit of volunteering, and hope to do more. Here's a mini-data sheet.
Why I like volunteering for game:
- It’s free
- You often get free food and drinks
- It can be a fun activity, or something related to an interest of yours
- The bitch shields are lower and the ratios can be better
- You might meet people worth knowing - charity events often attract rich, powerful, kind and interesting people.
- They generally don't extend late into the night, so you don't have to sacrifice a balanced lifestyle to do it.
But…
- The girls are uglier – a recent event reminded me of this great article. I went to an event that sounded pretty much ideal, and only 10% of the volunteers were bangable - though there were plenty of other girls as well. Hot girls prefer brunch to volunteering.
- Your odds of a same day lay are slim
- But the if the girls are less flaky, this may not be such a big deal
- There’s more of a time commitment generally
Additionally, I favor One Day Events because they
- Always have new blood, by definition.
- Tend to be more fun with more free schwag for volunteers
- You only have to show up once, instead of coming every week to see the same old people.
- Probably attract more eligible girls for the reasons above, especially among the non-volunteers. Ain't no hot girls hanging out at the soup kitchen.
The downside of one day events is that it's less likely you'll build an enduring friendship with anyone you meet there - to build a friendship, it really helps to see someone on a recurring basis, with an ongoing common interest.
How do you find out where to volunteer?
That’s probably the hardest part. Some resources:
Maybe there's a big local venue that holds lots of conferences - check their website for a calendar of upcoming events, and if you see any 'female-friendly' ones, or even just ones you like, go to the organizer's website and they'll probably have a call for volunteers. Even if they don't, just drop the organizer a line and say you'd like to volunteer. I recommend making yourself sound as reliable and vanilla as possible - I got a fussy response from one person who took a casual remark I made via email and more or less told me to fuck off. Keep it short, and you can't mess it up.
See if you can get a local wingman to both go to the events with you and find events to go to as well.
