the power of saying no
I've read a few times in various blogs that saying "no" is important. i understand that this basically means don't be a woman's bitch, but does it apply to everything or just stuff that would make you go out of your way? like, for example, if I girl wanted me to get something for her I'd imagine the right answer is no, but what if she just wants me to email her something she missed for class? is the answer still no for little things?

i think something like emailing notes u can say yes to.. doing hw for her is another story..
just think of whether yourr being used or not.. then decide.. remember ur never obliged to do stuff unless YOU feel like it

It applies to you having boundaries, and refusing to accept the behavior which overreaches your boundaries. However it is also important to not overreact, i.e. not being a dick about it.

For example, I hate it when chicks try to touch me right away without invitation - sadly a typical American chick behavior, so I laugh and tell them it costs twenty bucks to touch me.

You want to say no but not in a defensive or aggressive way. It should be playful.

i.e. "Hold my bag." "Hahaha" or give her a *You can't be serious* stare.
"Go get me a drink." "Yeah... I'll get right on that." *half turn around, sip drink... wait for it...*

The point is to not be submissive. It's not wrong to do the things above (or others), but if you find you're becoming a girl's bitch then you need to slap yourself and take the power back (if it's not already too late).

Just don't be a pushover. Don't be her "yes man". Don't let her dictate and decide everything.

If you don't want to do something, don't do it. If you don't like something, tell her.

Just be smart about it. I don't usually drink but if a girl ask me to her hotel and share a bottle of tequila, I sure as fuck won't say no.

But, if she pulls out a bullshit bottle of 10 dollar Jose Cuervo, I will tell her that she is crazy and she is lucky that I am there to help her.

Saying "no" is an artform.
