I would say that pretty much all the young hot girls we meet in nightclubs and on dating apps in Europe, keep their vaginas shaved if they know sex is about to happen. I can only remember having sex with one girl who wasn't shaved (and it was a turnoff).

I am older I lost my virginity in the 1980's before porn was ubiquitous-They were all hairy until roughly 93-94, then came the basic trim era 94-95, then came the landing strip 95- 97, after that all vagina was bare (unless they were from another country). I take pussy how it comes -but I do now prefer it shaved low at least-you cannot eat what you cannot see.

Atlanta Man makes an excellent point. Crabs can't hang onto a girl's pubes if she has shaved them off. That may be the original reason women started shaving in the West.

As I understand it, women in Islam must remove pubic and armpit hair no less than every 40 days, as per Sunnah (saying of the prophet) madate.

Much later, in Punjab, the Sikhs had a very different idea.

I would not be surprised if it were a convergence of many things like gay influence (the same reason men on billboards have no hair on their chests), influence of other cultures like Brazil, the increasing skimpiness of women's swimwear, trying to get rid of the crabs that were no doubt everywhere by the 80s, etc.

I wonder where each member is from and whether there is a correlation between ethnicity or nationality and love of hairy moot. Because women from certain areas (and age groups) have a higher prevalence of bush and I'm guessing the men where they're from have "grown" to like it.

I think it's as much personal preference as it is societal conditioning. I'm very much a no hair guy personally and with women. I find having extra hair itchy, annoying and lastly a turnoff. Because I'm not a fan of it on myself you'd have to assume those preferences project to women I'm dating. Yes I prefer shaved completely below the neck, myself to a lesser extent included.
