Hello all,

I am thinking about doing a trip to some european location for this winter including NYE holidays.

I went through 2 tough years personnaly and I think some solo time would be a good thing.
For NYE the only plans I have are with my close friends, but I am tired of having to meet their annying gfs.

On top of that I live n Poland and suffer from SAD due to the shorter days.

I am thinking the best would be somewhere a bit remote where I can medidate. Or something involving sports.

That is not the first time I am travelling solo as I already went to Spain, Italy and Russia by myself.

Do you guys have any suggestions?

I see you’re in Poland. This is funny cuz I just am trying to decide a solo trip for NYE to Poland.
Still not sure with work obligations and last minute flight prices.

I would go chill in Madrid or Barcelona. Did you decide on anything?

I'd rather go to Germany or Italy. I have always had positive emotions in these countries.

So for now, I will stay in Poland (Gdansk). I might go to Warsaw though... not 100% sure yet

I'm debating a Warsaw trip for the hot weather. Canada sucks I want to go live abroad in Poland.

I just came back from Poland (not for gaming as I was with a girl) and god damn Warsaw sucks balls. It’s cold, dark depressing. Better to take a trip to Madrid or Barcelona

It is very funny I saw this thread, I was going to recommend Poland to you, but having been there in the winter in Gdansk it sucks weather-wise. I fear this is going to be a problem with most of Europe at this time of year.

Maybe coastal spain, Malta, something along those lines. Malta is supposed to be great for gaming, but I haven't been-- only heard this from friends I know. But if you can really travel, maybe the southern hemisphere, where right now it's Summer. Checking out the Caribbean may not be a half-bad idea, but it has been a while since I have been down there in the middle of winter.

Would be curious to know what you eventually do, because Polish weather really sucks, and almost anything has to be better than Gdansk right now!
