It is not a dread per se, but more like ignore without coming as butt-hurt or rude.
Here's the situation. I have a girl she is probably missing my attention and she wants me to talk back . I don't want to feed her ego ,....etc. It is in the workplace. So this how I started ignoring her :

1- I Never go out of my way to say "hi to her
2- When I see her, I just say "hi" with plain face . No excitement or over smiley face (this is not typical of me )
3- She keeps giving me deep eye contacts and stare, I just don't look at her in the eyes or don't acknowledge her eye contact
4- If I see her in elevator, I jut say "Hi" then look at my phone

Is this the right way or I am going over the top ?

Why are you trying to run "dread game" (or any type of game) on someone at work? You don't have any other options?

I am not trying to run it . I am trying to ignore her without being rude going over the top
