I'm not a fan. Usually a lot of money to do the same thing you can do every other night. Pick the wrong venue too and you might have just blown a lot of unnecessary cash. Everyone does go out that though, so there is opportunity.

I usually hit up low key bars with no cover or just chill friends.

Yes. I don't get the hype. New Year's Eve parties are more miss than hit especially if you choose a new crowd.

Family for me.

RE: What do you do on New Years Eve?
Absolutely the biggest amateur night of the year. I did the club/party scene till about 25, now you couldn't pay me to do that. So miserable, waiting in line for drinks at some stuffy, hot, packed club or bar with a bunch of "heroes" and so many people you don't know.

I try NOT to spend NYE with a girl I'm banging unless we are actually dating- I don't want some chick thinking spending NYE with me means we are starting off the New Year together or are going to spend the year together ha ha. The last few years, I've bounced to a couple of small, friend's parties, and gotten home at by 11:15pm to cook up a lobster tail and open a really nice bottle of wine dolo, and watch the ball drop, then in bed by 12:30-1:00am.

On that note, people enjoy NYE and use it to look forward to the new year, but I more so use it to reflect on the past year, really dig into it, and think about how I can better myself in the upcoming year.

Home alone.

Comforting my pets. Not drinking a single drop of alcohol. Keeping a bucket of water on hand.

And for the whole month of January I will not go to the gym.

Waiting for all those "new year resolution people" to give up and be their usual weak selves again.

Only three ways to do something: "The right way. The wrong way. Or my way. Obviously my way is best."

Rant

Hype

Been across different parts of the country with family and friends over countless past New Years. I think it's time for a change of pace even though I'm quite busy lately.

Fire up all the dating apps during the daytime while eating brunch or something

Spongebob

Then hit on as many fine poosy at the beach during the evening

It's usually with friends/family since going out for it is a waste of time and money to me. This time though it's probably home alone since I'm on call for XMas and New Year at work.

Family/friends. New Year's Eve 2018 was rare, where I celebrated it at North Beach in San Francisco

Keep it low key with family and/or girl. The 1st of January is a good night for easy pickings on the dancefloor and bars.

RE: What do you do on New Years Eve?
The best would be if bouncing job would show up. Once I made 400$ on New years eve (that´s half of local average sallary).
Probably some events with friends will come, but I don´t like this "compulsory fun times". So I will probably try to get some pussy or do something totally untypical (go to nature or whatever).

I never go out on Amateur Night unless a close friend is throwing a party.

Girls would rather come to your place solo, generally speaking, they get to monopolize your attention and they know they're getting drunk and don't have to worry about driving, and know they're getting laid.

Not that you can't do both, naturally.

Look to be among the minority that will be ringing in the New Year with a plate giving me head on my couch.
