I hope this is evidence enough to persuade those of you who think " taking muh gunz" will be a bridge too far and spark resistance to government oppression that there will never in fact be a bridge too far.

Boiling frog is just too effective. It works for demographics, it works for trade, it works for regulation, and it works for just about everything. If the great mass of armed rednecks are not marching for today's chip-away at the 2nd amendment, what makes you think they'll march for tomorrow's chip-away?

You're talking about a gun control measure in a progressive district so it's not really applicable.

Polling is showing a growing divide in the middle between people that want traditionalism and people who are retarded. Anecdotally I've noticed that the traditional Right is actually gaining steam as the boomers die off or at least go senile. You're correct that nobody is going to go George Washington on behalf of people living in the heart of enemy territory. It no longer makes sense to view America as one nation in these regards. Pay attention to Federal gun laws. The bump-stock ban was an unfortunate step in the wrong direction and more than a little disturbing considering that the administration had nothing to gain from it but it's not exactly a game changer.

In short, nobody in red states gives a shit about gun laws in hardcore blue states. Those places are functionally no longer parts of America anyway. Watch for federal laws and red state laws. Those give you an indication of whether the frogs are boiling everywhere or just in the blue states.
