I read a post in the Travel section about "no regrets". I don't see what there is to regret as he is awesome and happy.

But let's talk about " regret'" .

Never "regret" something unless it was abjectly stupud or abjectly immoral.

Never regret life choice that take you places and do wonderful things

Always keep in mind that you ARE you experiences. If you chose a different path the you would be a different PERSON.

I regret getting in 2 wrestling matches for fun (punches allowed, not to the head) today (1-1 both tapouts) and tweaking the fuck out my back (it was a good time however.)

People who regret live in the past. You do mistakes and failure, that's life. The only awareness you can have, to do right now all decisions with best intention and knowledge. Then when you fail, learn from it. Life is a progress, not a stable line.
Over the ages you will learn, that the - I know it all - attitude is an illusion of your own mind. There are always ways to improve, but look back with regret and waste time to feel pity about things you can't change at all? Its a weak mentality. Be the now and the future.

I regret not realising that women are nothing special a lot sooner. Thinking back to my teens and twenties I would have stuck my dick into ten times more of it if I'd known then what I know now.

I never felt much regret in my life. I made plenty of mistakes of course, but most of the time I choose the best action at the best of my (at that time) knowledge. This made me grow and have experience. I do not see how can you avoid it...
