This is important because Google and its parent company insist that they are a private company and should not be regulated beyond the regulations they already have.

Im in Vietnam working for a local educational company - the whole training program and teaching aids across the country went down today.
People unable to do their jobs across the country for a day, no students able to complete their prescribed work.

That's just one company in one country.

Google insist that they are not a public utility, much less a global utility and should not be treated as such. I would beg to differ.

Todays episode shows just how pernicious Google's influence is and that their bias and irresponsibility should be answered for and even legislated and controlled.

Expect more youtube (and other internet) glitches/outages/hidden censorship/false attacks/etc as we get closer to the US mid-term elections on 6 of November 2018.
