When all that shit about Woody Allen started up again a few years back, Mia Farrow joked that Ronan Farrow is possibly not Woody's son, but Frank Sinatra's. Which I'd say is true. But think about how leniently our society deals with this issue; Mia can joke about paternity fraud - she can make a fucking joke about her ex-partner's son not being his child, but the product of an affair. Not one eyebrow raised. Forget about the money that Woody had to fork out through the years for Ronan, but think of the psychological damage this could do to both father and son when a claim like this is made with such levity.

Ay - you hear about those stories again and again - brother and sister, dad and daughter, mom and son.... But in contrast children growing up together from early age almost never bond treating each other as children - it's an anti-inbreeding mechanism evolved in us. It probably worked well in the past since you knew your extended family as well growing up around them.

Wouldn't surprise me if she fucked her likely Alpha-dad.

The ethnic prediction capabilities of these tests is temperamental. Given her results and her father's results it's possible that her father is her biological father.

Even if you test four siblings with these tests, the ethnic results they give can be quite different.

These tests can only generally reliably show ethnicity at the georegional level, e.g. Western Europe. If you are for example thoroughly British, you may get large chunks of Iberian, Skandi, French or German.

My Father and his sister's results are about 20% different on Ancestry. On a site with more rudimentary predictions they don't look remotely similar.

Any country or region that shows up as a low single digit percentage is likely just noise.

Regarding this girl, her control panel will show if this guy is her actual father. She didn't need to look at the ethnicity.

^ you bring up a good point here. Nobody ever seems to digs deep into the methodology and accuracy of these genetic tests. We just take them at face value because they feed into our LARPing and narcissistic tendencies. We should first ask ourselves why we are so keen to have our genetic information categorized and stored by a private company. It's like people giving Facebook and Amazon all of their personal data for free for some dubious and fleeting benefit.

You want to know what your background is? Do some research. You'll find out about your family history as well.

I had a coworker proudly tell me he's Irish and 23andme (genetic testing company) said he was 80% Irish. Further into the conversation he let slip his mom's side of the family is of predominantly eastern European descent. eh... wut?

I personally think people are using these tests to get meaningless and innacurate information they can use to justify retarded ethnic tattoos and then talk about themselves at hipster parties. I'm convinced this is mostly bullshit.

To repeat myself: you get much more benefit out of actually researching the lives and legacy of your father and forefathers, where THEY came from and much more importantly, what they did.

That requires an ounce of humility and discipline, so most never do it.

Better to press the easy button and get a result in a sheet of paper and then LARP on from there.

*this is not the same as getting a paternity test.

When test results of siblings are 20% apart, then essentially what you get is only some accuracy of major heritage regions - tighter classifications like Germany/Irish/Polish can be close to useless.

In addition for many South American mixed people it becomes even more complicated due to their diverse heritage.

The girl is predominantly of European origin with some admixture - the basic take-a-fucking-look test is about as valid as more fancy results which ultimately did not prove much.
