I still think these are great if used well.

There are insidious negs that create a simmering unease and then there are negs that get a big reaction.

The best are improvisational. If you can improvise a neg that is specific to the target, it will hit harder than general negs.

So, the other night a girl came up to the bar.

Me: I like your coat
Her: Thanks.
Me: It reminds me of drapes.
Her: HAHAHAHA

So, the formula was:
Bait: I like your XXXX (something) she's wearing. This makes it ok for you to say a neg that would come off as in insult by itself.
she bites too be polite and says "thanks."
Neg: it has to be specific to the thing. Have this ready to go right after her reply.

More examples that might work:
I like your ring.
Thanks.
It's like something my grandma would wear.
HAHAa

To a blond:
I like your haircut.
Thanks.
Kind of like a Ru-Paul thing

I find negs to be most effective when they're more subtle than you described. They're used to make her insecurities about something flare up and make her try to prove herself to you as worthy. Best used on hot girls to smash bitch shields. Deliver it like a compliment while she interprets it as something wrong with her. If shes kind of looking around bored or uninterested tell her that that its refreshing to see someone relaxing and just people watching and that its ok to take a break from her friends who are having fun. (shitty example whatever). Saying something subtle like that should make her subconsciously prove to you that she is actually a fun girl and not just the one that stands there while her friends have all the fun. She'll be focused on entertaining you rather than any fuckups you make or the fact that your end goal is to fuck her senseless only 3 hours later.

I think that these can work on hot and medium girls because of the compliment part. It softens it. Maybe on a higher level girl you can get skip the compliment and get into those subtle direct negs.

Also, this sets up a good power dynamic wherein you validate them and take that validation away. People are more effected by loss.
Also, it's kind of playful and sets up a potential Push/pull rhythm.
