I made a joke on Facebook that the guy should have got a prenup (but in all seriousness he should have) and now I have all these people who are not letting me live it down. Am I in the wrong?

In all seriousness, this is really sad, but I not kidding by blaming the courts and him loosing the house. Why would the guy kill his parents? Probably because the divorce bankrupted him and he could no longer afford to support them and didn’t want them wasting away in there without proper care. His wife most likely divorced him hard and took all his earnings.

He could have been a total piece of shit who beat up on his wife for years. But he also may have been an extremely hard working chump who got zeroed out by his wife. You mean to tell me he made it too the high age of 59 without ever committing a violent crime or felony? What do his coworkers say about him? Was he respected by his peers? He obviously had enough wealth to buy a house in Brandywine Green (an upper middle class development in Pennsylvania) so he wasn’t some thug. Sounds like the police came to his house once or twice for a disturbance and if one is being honest many families fight and have had disturbance calls reported.
