When you get some experience and intuition a lot of your impressions do not come from arguments, narratives, or the coherence of theories.

It is like the difference between spoken word and body language.

Obviously the subject matter and how it is presented is important. The problem is, often, if someone says something that is in alignment with our views, we tend to focus on that entirely and ignore red flags that come from other kinds of input.

How someone expresses something, how vociferous they are about an issue and then, the next day, just as passionate about an opposing view.

How quick they are to judge other people and, once having judged them, how amenable they are to any sort of attack, such as some physical attribute that the other person cannot help.

The people they are drawn to as well as the people that they choose to go after.

And a big one, the look in their eyes. Is it righteous anger or do they seem disturbed? Is their happiness sincere or is it manic glee?

Do they claim to have values that they ignore totally a few sentences later?

Do they come down hard on every little thing on other people but let themselves off the hook for similar behavior?

To me, Owen Benjamin's eyes look really bad. He has the persecuted resentful look of someone with a mental disorder. Not exactly sure how to explain it, but he reminds me of people who seem like they are about to lose it. You look in their eyes and feel as if they have taken something from you.

I don't care if I agree with this argument or that at a certain point. Intention matters a lot, and his intention at the moment seems to be to pass himself off as some sort of secular John the Baptist, the lone voice crying out in the desert.

It seems like a fair number of other people are reacting to this vibe in this thread, and some aren't, just grinding away at analysis and doctrine.

He just doesn't seem well.

I see a man who is casting a massive net in order to maintain an audience. He picked up some steam riding the coattails of the IDW with interviews on Rubin, two Rogan appearances, and Daily Wire invites, but ultimately wasn't able to propel himself beyond being that one comedian who's been in a few Sandler movies who got in trouble for the criticizing the trans movement.

I attribute this to two factors: 1. He doesn't have the chops to be a social and, especially, a political intellectual who really only had one "go-to," the "I got black-balled because I spoke out against giving 3 year olds hormone therapy, guys!" 2. He simply is not funny enough to stay relevant so he resorts to cliched attempts of outrage language. "The nigger stole my bike" and talking about David Hogg's pubic hair is not comedic genius. And Benjamin is quick to remind his bears of his "genius level IQ" and how hilarious he is.

He has now alienated himself from so many that he's relegated to appeals to the extreme fringes of the alt-right. He is looking for any audience to embrace him.

He also just seems like a complete asshole who would be a drag to be around. Calling anyone who disagrees with him a cock-sucking faggot like a dumfuck middle schooler. And for as masculine as he purports himself to be, resorts to the extreme feminine tactic of airing out beefs publicly without addressing the issues(s) privately and face-to-face.

It's hard not to become extremely angry and bitter when you find this out, and if you realize that violence is coming then there's a real question to be asked about whether there's any point in pushing that anger down when in reality you will probably need it to reconcile with what will have to be done sooner or later.

Just reading through this thread made me realize something quite beautiful in its simplicity.

It's gotten to the point where my support for a cultural speaker only has two criteria and two criteria alone.

1) Do they have the balls to address the JQ?
2) Are they hooking it to retarded shit to discredit others addressing the JQ?
