I was out at a club last night in Brazil and my strategy mainly consisted of grabbing girls by their waste only to have them politely push me off with a smile. I know I am supposed to make them receptive to my game before getting physical, but how when I don't know the lingo? It didn't help that I was a little tipsy as well.

Yeah, you're being aggressive way too early. A tasteful Brazilian gentleman would wait at least 30 seconds before trying such shenanigans. Where are you in Brazil? If it's Rio a lot of girls speak English, but if not then maybe try places with higher cover charges that might have higher-class girls. When I was in Salvador if I paid more than 30 reais to get into a place you could bet a lot of the girls there would speak English.

By being caveman like and just grabbing at them you're basically doing what every Brazilian man does, try and distinguish yourself and it can work wonders. By not being so aggressive and not going for the kiss straight off the bat and just being respectful but fun has helped me snag a fair few Brazilian girls. A lot of them get fed up of every second guy grabbing at them and you can be a welcome change.

There's a lot of truth to this. You can really stand out in Brazil by teasing her a little and not going for the kiss right away (don't overdo it though or she'll think you're not interested). I had one Carioca girl (English-speaking, naturally) tell me she thought it was "so cute that you talked to me for like 20 minutes without trying to kiss me." A heavy makeout and groping session followed shortly thereafter.

Yeah I've had a few fair Brazilian girls dig the fact that I didn't just pounce on them out of nowhere and go for the kiss but instead introduce myself, chat with them, build a connection and have a laugh first then go for the kiss later. I always find that whenever I'm chatting a Brazilian girl up in a club or bar there's some Brazilian cockblocking idiot who comes over, tries to scare me away, gives me abuse, tries it on with the girl. I just don't react to him at all and ask the girl what she thinks of this clown, "he must be scared I'm going to steal you away" etc. It works for me.
